Red Pantie Addict Anonymous: Sakura General Discussion!

really? hahahha i try to avoid using her drive attacks cause i always seem to get raped outta it. i stick with her B&B combo:

2A - 2B - 5B - 5C - 2C - 3C - 22C

works like a charm everytime.

pretty much my main drive combo is:
5D - 6D - Astral Heat

and her astral heat is a bitch to pull off, compared to like ragnas or rachels easy ass astral heat

Nahh not really more like a mid tier but whats funny though is that after the high tiers its just the middle tier left nothing else i believe

Iā€™m practicing noel at the moment and my saks is hiding for nowā€¦

Iā€™m trying to master her throw loop so i can give more damage lol

Blazblue is greater than SFIV without a doubt although i still dont have a win online hahah :frowning: 0-3 lol

there is also tager tier, canā€™t forget that.

We have a tournament here in the islands tomorrow and itā€™s a ticket to Evo 09. The last qualifiers starts at 3pm, top 2 or 3 advances to the finals at 7pm, and if you win finals, Evo. Itā€™s $30 to enter and Iā€™m debating whether I should go or not. Thereā€™s still a bunch of matchups iā€™m uncomfortable with such as elf, cammy, blanka. I can use Ryu but whereā€™s the fun in that? =D

Update: lost to zangief, then rushed down by rufus. gg

So I bought Blazblue and totally hate it. It looks like a game that would require some time to learn and that goes against everything I stand for! The only character that interest me is Taokaka because well she is part kat :lovin: I played my wife and she beat me 17x in a row using someone called V-13 who appears to have a combo that takes 65% of your life and can also be comboed ito something called ā€œFinal Distortionā€. So since my wife likes it, I am forced to keep it. But as for me, I am sticking to my girl Sakura lol.

lol I still canā€™t win with Noel its either im too aggressive or Iā€™m not very good in punishing lol

Itā€™s still hard to do her combos when i finally figure out how to do her loops then i cant do the drive link afterwards for some reason

i should practice playing SF IV again since i got my stick a few days ago.

I tried bb online once and got mauled. So far Iā€™m personally digging V-13 and her many swords of doom, but I havenā€™t really found a character that I didnā€™t likeā€¦ theyā€™re all awesome! I can beat my gf pretty easily, which she REALLY hates. She wants to take the game back or for me to pay her 60 bucks because she refuses to pay for a game that she sucks at  My girl already picked taokaka as her main. Now I just gotta get her to put in the work to level herself up so she can get into itā€¦

We Havenā€™t touched SF4 since we picked up blazblue.

i played a crazy good taokakaā€¦ you can use her drive attacks to keep you in and do combos before the other person can recover. i personally main noel and am at a 70% win percentage (and no im not a D spammerā€¦ i rarely ever use my drive attacks unless im going for the astral finish)

Yes

Come back to SFIV

The past few dayā€™s Iā€™ve been the only one here!

Socks FTW!!

Right? Right?

lulzā€¦ just had my first ragequitter on blazblueā€¦ let the circle of plug pullers begin yet again

I played some sf4 earlier. sakura is the only thing that makes the game fun

Yay!

I uploaded a replay!!

Even though it was THE most appauling match ever.

All I did was stuff a flow-chart Ken with c.hps.

New Sakura user, reporting for duty.
Been playing her all day online in PC ver, losing mostly but itā€™s been getting better the last few hours.

I just love EX otoshi. I think thatā€™s 70% my reason to play Sakura.

Her combos in challenge mode seems really tough though, canā€™t imagine me pulling them of in a match.
Iā€™ll stick to j.HK, c.HP, hadou/shou for now, and scrub it up with that as best I can.

Is there a compiled list of newbie tips somewhere? Like common sak mistakes you should avoid, or what moves are the safest and such?

Oh youā€™re SO closeā€¦ get rid of the hadou/shou crap at the end there and learn to love EX shunpukyaku instead!! add an otoshi (no need for EX) after the last kick and youā€™ll be good for a whileā€¦

Ah, thanks! Gonna try practicing that then

But whatā€™s a good combo(and relatively easy, this part I canā€™t stress enough ) if youā€™re out of super meter and canā€™t do the EX tatsu?

Dont forget Taunt 7 every chance you get!

Normal Tatsu.

Or c.mk -> shouoken. Or just a lot pokes.

i was playing a sak today and sheā€™d randomly end her ex. tatsuā€™s with a jumping heavy kick rather then an otoshi.

is there an advantage to that? more stun?

Itā€™s a mixup. Theyā€™re going to try and throw you or combo you, which would have been more difficult with the otoshi because you land long before Sak does.

Also, if you otoshi a cornered opponent you switch sides with them, so itā€™s a good idea to finish the combo with something else when near the corner.

j.hk is a decent way to reset. It causes the other person to land on their feet, instead of on their back like otoshi does. This way, you can start hitting them again much sooner, but itā€™s not guaranteed damage. Basically the other person has to guess wrong about what youā€™re going to do next. Iā€™m very guilty on relying on it TOO much, but it works pretty well when it does. Iā€™m pretty sure you can hit them with whatever you want in the air, but hk/hp does the most damage I think. j.lk lets you walk or dash underneath them for a crossup, but I donā€™t use that as much, not as long as hk is still working simply because itā€™s easier.

Basically I do something like ex tatsu -> j.hk, land and pause for a moment, then nj.hk -> c.hp -> ex tatsu -> j.hk and so on and so onā€¦ This goes on until I run out of ex stocks, the opponent figures it out or the round ends
