So I was at A-Kon 23 in Dallas TX and wanted to share my results with everyone.

I came 1st in AE with our girl Sakura and I came first in two SF x TK tournaments using Rufus and Law.

Needless to say I’m really happy haha.

Nearly made top 32 at ECT4 this weekend. Lost to Weaksauce in my pools just after he lost to dieminion. I was definitely repping Sak there to the best of my ability.

I have a FT5 with a really good Swedish Rose, I’ll upload it tonight or tomorrow (In my really bad camera quality :p) , I think this set really shows how Sakura can change the match so drastically off one touch.

I’m interested in seeing that. I use Rose but when I fight Rose with my Sakura I usually get destroyed.

What ultra do you use against Rose. I personally use U1. OS EX Soul Spiral haha

I use U2 vs Rose, I think it’s really important to be able to stay on her since she can keep you out so effectively.

It’s a tough match alright but you got to remember, Sakura can change the match so quickly, so even if you’re on last pixel, you still can win, her comeback potential is amazing. So don’t get too demoralized if you eat a few pokes and fireballs, just keep in mind that you still can win.

That’s my mentality vs zoners.

Started playing on PS3 version to get used to the slight lag and prepare for EVO…I feel really guilty about my BP/PP misrepresenting my experience lol, keep blowing up people that are ranked near what I was on xbox when I stopped doing ranked and they’re probably scratching their heads or thinking I’m a troll account.

I don’t touch ranked; when I beat people they always think I’m a troll account, it gets really annoying to be honest. And it’s amazing how many you can beat by cr.hp lol <3

I think my rust shows in some of the matches :p, I’d like to do a bit of self criticisim.

I think I jumped too much, Pappioll wasn’t AAing me in fear of getting CH’ed
I think I need to work on spacing, I was lingering within her st.hk range too much.
I need to rework on my execution after moving to stick, tatsu loops are a thing of the past
I think I need to manage my meter better and reduce on ex fireballs.

What y’all think? Any criticism is nice

Fergus; I checked out a few matches but honestly, you said most of things yourself. I’ll comment more when I have time to watch all of them.

I think Juso has a good Sak, but man this guy throws away so many matches. Same thing happened with Topanga League matches, he had it then choked, hard.

Happens to me too. When you play at very high level, one opportunity with Sakura is so rare that I drop combos

I was at a casual session today and I definitely played the best I ever had so far with Sakura.

Normally online, I have really really terrible reactions, like barely able to shouken AA and stuff, but today I was on point, I shouken’ed nearly every jumpin, cr.mk whiff punished a lot of moves, (my combos were very poor though)

I was really happy with my performance, should have recorded them somehow

Today i did a silly reset against a Cody player. I scored a combo, and i ended it with an ex tatsu, i walked up, did a close hard punch, and i canceled it into light otoshi, and it connected xD I dunno if this is a common setup or not, but i laughed my ass of I watched the replay, and the guy mashed on criminal uppercut

I’m starting to find that using fireballs against Guile really helps. I don’t think it should though. Like, right outside his poke range. I’ve had a lot of Guile players just walk into them or start jumping in.

I had no Idea that worked on Cody, I use it on Sagat and Seth…
