How do you all think Sakura handles the Yun/Yang matchup?

From what I heard, it was supposed to be really crap for her against Yun, dunno about Yang

With the hype of Marvel dying down, I find myself playing SF a lot more now because of the BS range Dante has in Marvel…
My style of play has changed quite a bit, as I’m thinking a lot more and actually reading my opponent… but I’m still a reaction/defensive for tte most part because I still get rushed down.

Doesn’t sound like your style has changed. From what I remember watching some of your matches you were always very defensive and trying to read. You hardly whiffed anything or did anything random. Nearly anytime you pressed a button the attack landed as a hit.

That’s very flattering, but that’s because it takes me at least 3 losses to be 70% sure of when I can attack.

Today was actually a good day for me. I was hitting my links online more often than not. I also love when someone tries to throw a meaty fireball when I have meter.

However, I’m having problems against T. Hawk. His Condor Dive shenanigans really messed with me. It has a height restriction, doesn’t it? Is the bar just set really low?

edit: AE question for anyone who played it: does the cr. HP tech throw option select work against Yun and Yang’s dive kicks?

There is technically a height limit, but it is quite low. Though any blocked CD can be punished quite hard.

Of course it makes me happy for someone like Mago to recognize me as a good player, hopefully I will keep the drive needed to stay good in AE even though I don’t like many of the additions to that version.

Lol, my hatred for online play continues to grow.

It’s like people are just mashing on every button they have. I don’t think there’s ever a moment where someone isn’t just throwing out some random attack.

But at the very least, this helps tell me whether I’m nailing my 1-frame and 2-frame links or not.

Whenever you’re in range of attacks, expect them. That’s the philosophy I have playing online.

That’s so true. though I do it myself at times, you’ll rarely see me hitting any buttons for the most part, except for the automated grabs after jump-ins I seemed to pick up somewhere…

The two botched combos that almost cost the round, both times, really made me cringe

she is not a counter pick to able that matchup is a 5-5 at best. once able gets one Tornado grab off she has a terrible time getting out

She is not worse of in his mixup game than anybody else without a non-ex shoryu.
That you’re going to have to sacrifice a lot of health to get out of a good Abel’s mixup game is just something you have to accept, the matchup is even better now in AE now that his damage has been lowered as well. Sakura’s pressure against Abel is only escapeable if he has EX meter, and even then it’s risky for him to try and do something against her. Abel’s hitbox is also terrific for ambiguous crossups, he also doesn’t have a 3f move to interrupt Sakura at any point in her blockstrings.
The only thing has has going for him in this matchup is his damage output, Sakura outplays him at every other point.

If you only look at what your opponent can do to you, and not the other way around, you will feel that all matchups are bad.
