I hate that I rush and try to push buttons too early. I try to focus after whiffed tatsus, expecting to get swept, but i do it too soon while still in recovery and then nothing comes out so i just end up sitting there looking foolish… that and i land so many jabs and shorts that i so wish i could finish as combos D: bangs head against wall
lol oh and thanks destin, i keep canceling out of shououkens for no damn reason now… been practicing that shit way too much lately, I cant just land c.mk xx shouoken and let the damn thing go.
Happens to me too >.< I try to force myself to hold DB when charging/starting Focus Attacks so that at least I’ll be ready to block if the FA doesn’t start x_x;;
It does, what game are you playing? Go into training and test it out. I was pretty positive but I went into training just to make sure. These aren’t throws, just as long as you’re on the ground you can start Focus Attacks from any position.
It’s what I do against Dhalsim since they like to start the round with a stretchy attack, if I’m too quick on MP+MK and a FA doesn’t start then at least I’m holding DB and will block whatever they throw at me
Wow I feel like a retard now. :razzy: I tested and you’re right of course. I’ve had the game since day 1 and I always thought that you had to have to stick neutral for FA to come out, lol.
Either it’s a little spanish kid, older black guy or some random asian playing Akuma. That’s what i’m usually seeing from Akuma players on live. Sometimes on GGPO. Makes you seem badass when you play as the one shoto renowned for being the pussy that just runs the fuck away trying not to break a nail to get KO’d. :lame:
The kind that don’t even try to get a KO are even worse, victory by time out. Came across one once, all he did was air fireballs and teleport away. Was kinda easy to predict his teleport when he tried getting out of the corner
I hate Akumas. It must be his “badassness” that helps make up for their lack of a special something.
I get tired of the fireball game. Its actually kinda hard to get passed. But if you can get close to Akuma half the battle is won. I have an easier time beating Akuma with Dan, and needless to say its very rewarding.
I’d never have thought. One was on my friends list, so I had to play her, but the other person I lost to. Both were fun games though. And the person who beat me sent me a nice message saying
“You’re the better sakura, I just got lucky going over offensive.”
and
“Hah, well thanks for the compliment, but I know enough to spot the difference between you linking a short into a jab into down fierce to start your combnos and me just hoping to get lucky with the fierce. I got lucky”
Very modest! So if you ever see MartjinMumbles, give him a nice thumbs up! :3
It’s easier for Sakura to bridge the distance, predict one of their many red fireballs and EX Otoshi right over to them. Catch them in her mix-up and it’s all over
What’s annoying is when for whatever reason you miss a throw (1 pixel too far away or 1 frame too soon) then they throw you in return >.<
I’ve had times when I’ve been thrown when I was hammering throw (like 2-3 taps), guess there was a missing input or something
Jabs and throws both have a 3-frame startup. I believe that if both are executed at the same time the throw will win but if the jab is a frame or two sooner it’ll beat the throw to the punch (literally :P).
