Recent Purchases and Good Finds

@PlayDoh003 : Well, I wouldn’t really consider it a goldmine (though I did score a cheap CPS-2 set, so who am I to say); they mainly stock parts for things like pool tables, foosball tables, air hockey, pinball, etc. Their selection of arcade parts is mostly real- and MAME-cabinet stuff; they have a small selection of “normal” Sanwa stuff (so no clear buttons) and lots of American-style parts as well (so no Seimitsu).

I find their prices a little on the higher-end, so I’d rather order my stick-parts from Focus Attack anyways (I mostly use Seimitsu parts). But I really lucked out with the CPS-2 board; it didn’t even belong to the owner, a friend of his who used to run an arcade left it there as a “sell if possible” kind of thing.

Forgot to post this here (about a month old): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lJVXOr7g4G0

Bunch of Rockman goods.

http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/vgm/4171743933.html - Runs like a beast, minimal cleanup required, only had to replace the bulbs under the scoreboard. They even gave me a brand new set of pucks. A steal for $100! On the way back from picking that up, I copped a fat PS2 with the Network Adapter plus three controllers (One sony, the other 2 madcatz) for $25. System is in great condition!

Last week:

2 Move wands, 2 Navigation controllers, 2 CTA move pistols, PS Eye Camera, Time Crisis Razing Storm, and Sports Champions (all in great condition) - $75 from this cat on Craigslist

2 Sharpshooters - $15.01 new from Best Buy (On clearance for $6.99 each at the store) The web site had them listed at $13.99 each. LMAO @ Walmart and GameStop trying to sell them for $30!

Whoohoooo!

SSF2X is a bit dirty, and sticker is peeling, but comes with instructions and some sort of unused marquee/standee thing.
Pocket Fighter is in great shape, and comes with the whole kit! Instructions, customer satisfaction card, cabinet-top-banner with game system explanation, moves list strip-stickers, some pop-out-hanging-character-standees, and a HUGE poster!

Aaaaaand I really need to stop it on the CPS2 stuff now.

Where is the “dislike” when you need it.

/jealousy

WHAT. :frowning: i’m sad i didn’t see that auction now

Lol @ Mark. Only stick I don’t own that I want. : (

Almost pulled the trigger on that VSHG… decided the ps360+ dual modded VLX Diamond I snagged for 175 shipped was enough

^ That is insane. $175 shipped?!

Also. Just don’t sleep. You can’t miss out on deals that way.

There are 3 or 4 of you that I seriously want to Moe-slap in the face!

(That’s a “Three Stooges” reference, btw.)

Yeah, d3v said it best —

“/jealousy”, indeed!

You should see the deals I get when I go hunting in Japan. Ooooh boy.

I still think I have two of the best pick up deals related to this thread.

Found this bad boy last night and picked it up this morning. $75. The lady I talked to about it had issues, but her man was cool as hell. Found out that he’s one of the Tank Top twins from that Storage Wars show (which I don’t watch), so go figure. I cleaned it up, so it looks brand new. The rca cable wasn’t included and I have to get the left speaker repaired, but it’s good to go other than that. The picture below is the state it was in at the storage where I picked it up. I’ll put up the current state pic soon…

EDIT: Went to a Howie’s game shack near me a couple of days ago to see about where they send their gamepod 1.5 chairs to get worked on. The manager told me that the company is out of business in the states (which I knew), but actually overseas and that none of the chairs are hooked up, so they’re there just for seats, since the speakers have gone out on nearly all of them. Asked him about the rca cables so he goes to the back, pulls out a brand new set, and shows me the kind I need to look for. I thank him, then he asks me how many I need. I tell him only one set and he hands me the new cables. I couldn’t believe it, so I declined at first, but accepted after he says they have no use for them. The food court was right across from the place, so I offered to buy the cat lunch for hooking me up, but he said I did him a favor by creating storage room for him, lol. I go home, hook everything up to my PS2 and crank the chair on. Both speakers came in clear as day! It was like having surround sound in my room! I have it running through my PS3 now, so I’m really good to go. Crazy, because when I bought the chair, I heard the cat who sold it to me tell his wife that he should’ve stuck to the $125 price point he was going for.

TL:DR - Got a fully-operational Gamepod 1.5 gaming chair with ottoman for a quarter of its full price!

Nice haul! Yeah that cardboard stuff for SSFIIX is commonly refereed to as a “POP” in Japan. That particular one makes sort of a upside-down “U” shape that sits over the monitor and down both sides. I think it goes over a ~27" monitor nicely. I’ve been wanting to make some high quality copies of mine to slap on my monitors at events

Saw that CeX in the uk were selling the MadCatz TE for 35 pounds, and I just couldn’t resist at this price. I bought it a few days ago and it arrived today, except it wasn’t the TE it was the TE-S!
There’s still one in stock online, it’s a ridiculously good deal

Man, when it comes to eBay, I feel like I’m disadvantaged being on the East Coast! I was feeling nostalgic and had my eye on a NICE working SCPH-1001 bundle with cables, controller and 3 games which among them, was the original Time Crisis complete in the original box with the Guncon controller.

The whole bundle was at $18 (plus $12 shipping), but with the auction ending after 2AM, there was no way I’d be able to bid and keep my eye on it… It ended up selling for that price! That’s a pretty good deal, considering that you’d be hard pressed to find that game with gun complete and in good condition for that price, let alone a complete PS console with it!

I guess it confirms MarkMan’s logic that you just can’t sleep if you want to catch some good deals on eBay… So, I post this in honor of the lucky S.O.B. Who practically stole that deal!

You can always place a bid and the max price you want it and it’ll pay for you.

I picked up a SF 15th Anniversary Stick for 40 with MVC2 on PS2

Just picked up a brand new copy of Suikoden III for $3 at salvation army. The shrink wrap was quite dirty, but that was easy to clean off with a wash cloth and water.

Yeah, I know - but if you’re not around to keep an eye on it, it doesn’t stop someone from “feeling out” bids to see what you’re max is… On the other hand, the Max bid system is in place to somewhat prevent “emotional” bidding, lol. Some people will pay ANYTHING for stuff sometimes, and regret it later.

Got a Mag-Stik for 10 bucks, man is the throw really short on this. Feels really solidly built too.
