Does anyone know that other site that does custom plexis?

I’m obviously not asking about tekinnovations, but I seen d3v post it in another thread and I can’t find it anymore. :frowning:

Not a FG product but a good deal Gamestop has these on sale now for 19.99 I finally picked one up I have been wanting one since they came out and were going for 39.99. its pretty sick controller the digital display show 0-100 the amount of pressure you apply to the little accelerator petal

Edit: PS3 only not that you couldn’t tell from the form factor

Wait, I don’t even…what does this do?

Ok, did some research, it’s a racing controller. Interesting, I may have to check it out for GT5.

sorry I guess I should have mentioned that
its cool controller I just picked it up today so I havent tested it but from the reviews its the next best thing to a racing wheel. I like the quality and the buttons are all mapable it looks weird but it makes sense when you try it

That’s a cool controller… I wonder how something like that would work for Mario Kart… That would be ODD.

I’d get a racing controller for Daytona USA… That remains my favorite racing game to this day; the PSN/XBL?) ports are by far the best console versions released of the game. HOWEVER…

The standard PS3 controller just doesn’t cut it with Daytona USA. The darn buttons just don’t register as nicely as the old Saturn digital pads did with the Daytona ports for that system! Steering’s okay but the acceleration/braking is way off.

The saving grace of the $130 (USB) Logitec wheel available at GameStop is that it’s at least backwardly compatible with the PS2.

$20 sounds like a better deal to me for the time being. I just don’t have $130 to blow on a racing wheel that’s only going to be used with one game for the time being.

To be honest, I’d like to get the Batarang controller released with Arkham City even more. THAT is the coolest-looking wireless controller released for the PS3! I think it looks cooler than the wired Tron controllers released last year.

(Priorities, priorities… Yeah, I’d get the racing controller FIRST. Cheaper and much more useful to me at the moment. Besides, I don’t even own Arkham City yet! LOL)

its ps3 only so it looks like you’ll never know

I can think of 2 ways to find out already.

maybe if you emulate snes and n64 version on the pc it could be possible but that’s it

That’s what I was looking for! Thanks man!!!

I know a guy. He can make it happen. Open it up, add something in, take something out. What we do call those guys again?

Also, Dolphin emulator. Hell, every Nintendo system has been emulated.

modders don’t mess with analogs so its not going to happen emulate on PC only option

So this thing is the next NegCon?

Alright, you win! I guess… STILL! You can emulate every Nintendo console and handheld. I just wish I cared enough to get one and find out.

Just purchased a Qanba Q4 6-btton conversion kit and 6 arceye 2’s.

My stick is about to get pimped.

Got my all black TE in the mail today, number 409.

Actually, I thought one of the guys did some sort of mod with an analog stick. Can’t remember who though.

Just got two things today…

First up, I bought the racing control for the PS3 that RosserRooster mentioned on a previous page of this thread.

If you’re looking for the GameStop deal on this controller, tell the store employees that you’re looking for a RED PS3 WIRED control pad released around the time of GT 5. The official name of this control pad is the HKS Racing Controller. GameStop is NOT selling this controller online… Stores only!

You can however, use the GameStop.com website to look for nearby stores in your zip code to see which GameStop store might have the controller in-stock. That’s how I found the HKS Racing Controller at a GameStop that wasn’t even 2 miles away from my home!

Impressions of the pad:
For a $20 pad (it’s $20 off, probably on clearance), it’s a fairly decent controller. Form factor is like a modified Dual Shock. Only 1 analog stick; the L3 stick is modded into an analog steering button (aka “thumb wheel”). Like Rosser said, it’s really the closest to a PS1-era Hori NegCon that we’ve got this generation. I think that’s a fair assessment.

The HSK “X” accelerator pedal button is far better for acceleration than the “R2” button on a standard DS3 pad. I’m not so crazy about the HSK “Square” brake pedal button but I think it’s a matter of me getting used to it. One thing I DO NOT like about the HSK Brake pedal button is that it seems to register only 1 level of tension, “0”… You brake or don’t – there’s no in-between brake tension. The acceleration pedal registers from “0” to “100” and allows for smooth acceleration. It seems to me the same should have been true for braking but to a lesser extent. (Maybe “0 to 25, 0 to 50”?)

One problem seems to be that you have to choose to break OR shift down (Manual Transmission Mode)… They cancel each other out if you try to do both at the same time. I don’t recall this being an issue with the Saturn or Dreamcast ports of Daytona but it’s been a while (years!) since I’ve played those ports. You CAN accelerate AND shift up in Manual Transmission Mode.

The control pad is set up so that you can assign Macros to keys or use the built-in Key settings for GT or the Need For Speed Series. There’s a switch on the underside for “NFS” or “GT” button mode. There’s also an “L/R” button to shift the analog joystick from “L3” to “R3” useage. Use “NFS” to make selections in the Option Mode menu of Daytona and move around the menu outside the game; you must have “L” Joystick selected to navigate the menus outside the game! Switch to “GT” button mode and “R” Joystick only after you Start the actual game. I believe both Daytona USA and Sega Rally 2 use the “GT” key and “R” Joystick settings to enable the analog pedals and left thumb wheel; I’m 100% sure on this for Daytona since I own the PSN version. Sega Rally (2) I’m fairly certain uses the same button set-up…

If you can get used to the buttons, this is a recommended controller. Much cheaper than buying the Logitec Force Wheel ($130)!

Thanks, Rosser, for mentioning this pad! It makes my Daytona USA (PSN) experience a lot better!

Second thing I got today… in the mail.
My LS-32/JLF shaft extensions arrived from Shadaloo shop (Netherlands). This is the only other place selling extensions like this.

The shaft extension is nearly identical to eTokki’s bare metal LS-32 shaft extension but is 2mm longer (15mm). I tested the fit on both an LS-40 and an LS-32. It keeps the shaft covers on both securely. There is no way the shaft cover is moving up and down on the LS-40. It’s a tight fit and if it were painted black would be barely noticeable. It blends in better with the form of the LS-40 shaft (with cover on). On the LS-32, however, the -32 shaft is still a bit wider (with a modded JLF shaft cover on it) and the JLF-CD shaft will spin a bit but I don’t see it moving up and down, either.

My plans are right now to use the extensions for an AH2 joystick and my white HRAP 3. I’m going to probably install LS-40-01’s in both joysticks using the original (stock) flat mounting plates… I might get them powder-coated black later if I can make a deal to get the powder coating done at a reasonable price.

cool glad you like it I havent had time to test it except on Wipeout hd too much skyward sword lately maybe the brake petal is better suited for GT5 but I’m not sure I do know that it takes some getting use to.

also you know I do lot of the powder coating for people here on the forum
