Picked up a pelican universal real arcade stick for $20, pretty decent deal i guess
I picked up a Tekken 5 stick for $5 yesterday at a thrift store. It was the first time Iāve found a stick locally. The cord is a little frayed but the PCB is fully functional.
I got a se fightstick for 35 US dollars new of ebay. Traded in a used copy of resident evil 5 and got blazeblue for 11US dollars total!
SE sticks are dropping big time, agetec Dreamcast sticks too. Its a good time to be a fighter
How did you manage to find an SE on eBay? Iāve been trying to find one myself but searching for them is a pain; whenever I put āSEā in part of my search string, some Hori EX-SE thing populates most of my search results.
When I was at Comic-Con, Mad Catz were selling the SE for $35. Gonna mod it soon.
EXAR PS3 STICK 39.72 (1/2 off)
King of Fighters XII USB Joystick
NEO GEO STICK 2 USB PS3 39.72 (1/2 off)
Neo Geo Stick 2 (USB Controller)
Thatās the lowest price Iāve ever read for one of those!
The cheapest I paid out of six T5 sticks was $20. That was e-Bay. Shipping was nothing. Surprised the guy sold it to me for that little but it arrived safely. Turned around and sold that one to another SRKer 6-8 months later after I modded it. Definitely worth it bringing T5 sticks up to par with the official HRAP line. Working right now on modding the faceplates for 2 of 3 T5ās I plan to keep; Iām going to improvise a homebrew universal mount from self-clinching studs, M4 hex nuts, joystick mounting plates (JLF flats and Seimitsu SS) and washers. Looks like it will work and Iāll be able to mount JLFās or any Seimitsu stick I want in a T5 case!
The prices for the complete T5 bundles are outrageous nowā¦
A couple years back, you could buy one of these for $30 at GameStop.
Now, Iāve seen a few T5 bundles go for $160. Whether theyāre actually selling for that much is a question, though! Definitely would NOT pay more than $50 for a T5 stick by itself and it would have to be immaculate before I bought it for that muchā¦ $15-$20 is probably fairer for a stock stick thatās in fair/good condition with an intact PCB and cord.
Oh, and Tekken 5 (PS2) the game itself is out-of-print and has apparently gone up in value in the used online marketā¦ Averages Iām seeing are $40 used. Makes you wonder what an unopened copy goes for!
NCS ( ncsx.com) also has a bunch of EXAR Neo-Geo PS3 sticks they canāt get rid ofā¦ I was surprised by the listing for those today.
I eventually want to get another Agetec if I can find a good deal on one.
I saw a number of these sell for $25-$30 online over the summer but too broke to bid.
Fun stick to mod and nice aesthetic that holds up after 10+ years!
I really hope they do the same for comiccon NYC, Iāll buy 6 of em
Iām thinking of getting this:
MARVEL VS. CAPCOM 2 - ARCADE BOARD - TESTED AND WORKING - $100
ARCADE MACHINE PARTS - BOARDS, GUNS, POWER, CABNETS, ETC.
I dunno much about arcade boards and such. How much is it really worth? :wonder:
DO IT AND DO IT NOW, but test it.
The big question of value is what all comes with it. The actual ROM cartridge is usually like $200-$250. Thatās why I say do it now, its an easy double your money if it works. That cartridge plugs into the naomi motherboard, and those run about $50 each. The real winner if you can get it in the deal is the Capcom brand i/o board. Itās what allows you to use the Naomi board on Jamma arcade cabinets. That will run $200-$250 by itself.
So, if you can watch him test it, get it, whatever it is, even if its just the cartridge. It might be just the cartridge and mobo, which is fine. If its the cart, mobo, and i/o adapter, shit yeah get it. The I/O adapter is getting harder to find, and it chances are you wont be able to get it installed in a cabinet until you get one. Try and haggle about it if one isnāt present, because without it, it wonāt work in a jamma cabinet.

So maybe my expectation of value are off a little.
$17 for the PS3 stick, $1 for the 360 stick.
PS3 stick had a bad joystick wire, also had the main bracket (the welded one) come a little loose (it likely got dropped). Fixed both of those, works fine now.
360 stick has a bad PCB. Works flawless on PC, but doesnāt work at all on 360. I will have to put a gamestop controller PCB in there.
I emailed the guy and this is what he sent me back.
Hello Andreas,
Yes the board is still available. It comes with just the Jamma board itself (the blue case with the pcb console inside).
Please call or email me back for any additional information.
Uh, thatās MvC1, not MvC2. The blue cases are North American CPS2.
Same thingā¦
Hello Brett,
Itās the whole blue console, with the motherboad, rom and all that stuff inside it.
Yeah I figured. 100 dollars aināt that bad of a deal, except Iām already working on getting mame on my candy cab.
Hello Andreas,
Itās definitely a Marvel vs. Capcom 2. It says so on the main screen, board, etc.
Iāll list it on eBay.
ā¦
maybe a bootleg?
The only way that would make any sense would be if it was a Naomi 2 motherboard. Just ask for a picture of the board, problem solved.
