Found this SF beach towel while getting piss ass drunk on the Riverwalk in San Antonio this weekend! The lady at the store sold it to me for $15, got home, price tag said $50.

I like the beach towel! Get another one for 15$ and sell it to me for 20$. lol

Are there any more?
Or that the only one?

That’s a sweet towel. Crazy how you were able to get it for 15 bucks even when you were “piss ass drunk” haha

I got these.

The place where I found the towel only had one. I’ll ask the owner if they can get more next time I go, which should be next week.

You can’t help but get plastered in San Antonio…the Riverwalk is like one giant bar

Damn those cards are sweet jdm, looks like they were seperated very gently.
Would it be wrong to start a show your Street Fighter merchandise thread in Tech Talk?
B/C I have a bunch I could post to show. lol

Scabby see if you can get a case of those towels. lol
Looks like you could sell them pretty quick.

Just for collector’s sake:

$10 from a used game shop in town. Couldn’t pass it up, and don’t even own a Super Famicom. Are there any converters available for the SNES to accept Famicom carts?

Also of note, I passed up on a Korean Super Famicom Mega Man X cart. Guy that ran the store thought it was Japanese, until I saw Hangeul on the label and corrected him. Don’t know how rare it was to find one, but knew he was probably going to scalp me on it.

I went into my local video game store planning to get a Ryu gamepad for $20. The employee asked if I wanted to see a fight stick that they just got. I agreed to see it but thinking that I wasn’t going to spend $100+. It was a barely used tournament edition fightstick for just $50. Man, I drove home so fast to get more money then came back and bought it. It worked perfectly and nothing was wrong with it. Best day of my life. :bgrin:

Don’t quote me on this but I believe the only territory lockout on the SNES was the shape of the cartridges and the cartridge slot…
Ah yes found this.

Rising Stuff • Step-by-step Instructions for How to Mod your Super Nintendo to Play Super Famicom Games at Rising Stuff

Yes, you just have to cut the tabs if not want to get Adapter.
I still have the Adapter from eleven years ago.
Laugh.

No adaptor necessary for Super Famicon cartridges. Like JDM said, the easiest way to play them in a SuperNES is just to cut off the offending tabs in the cartridge slot.

You might have to take apart the case to do this, though.

It’s that simple.

As far as cart converters – IF you’re squeamish about mods --, there are two ways to go about this.

  1. Get a cart converter for SFC to SNES cartridge ports… Maybe they sell for less than $10 now?
Try an online vendor of used games, PlayAsia, or look in a ChinaTown if you have one in your neighborhood… Or ask around on the Trading Outlet to see if someone has one for sale.
I actually had one of these when I owned a Super NES… LONG GONE when I traded in the SNES for PS1 credit! (I got a launch day North American PS1.)
  2. Get a Super NES Game Genie. These will also work with Super Famicon carts although you might have to mod the Game Genie a bit…

I got two Dreamcast Agetec arcade sticks (Green Goblins) for $20 each today.

DAMN YOU :< GOD, SUCH A NICE DEAL

gratz on finding it

Actually you don’t have to take apart the SNES to do that mod, if you’re a little ballsy. Just stick some needle nose pliers in there and Hulk it out.

If I could think of enough Japanese Super Famicom/Nintendo games that I could actually manage to play without knowing the language I might look into getting one of those slim SNES systems to mod.

I might’ve posted this before but it seems relevant:

I use that in an unmodded Super Famicom because I think SFCs are purty.
