not very recent but a couple of good finds i had over the last year and half
-bought a used but working dreamcast ascii optical stick for ~$70 ish.
-bought 2 new madcatz te sticks for $90 + tax for a total of $99 at frys
-hrap se for $90 @ amazon. 2 days after i bought it, it dropped to $80 :bluu:

Toodles, those three alone I believe made the whole $60.00 worth it. Hell, if you ask me, Secret of Evermore alone made the $60.00 worth it. I canāt say itās my favorite RPG of all time (that goes to Tales of Phantasia, also for the Super Famicom!), but itās by far my second favorite one. Best Squaresoft RPG on the SNES if you ask me! :lovin:
I offered $60, he said he would take $50 (most of the PSX games could use resurfacing. The only one that was scary bad was Kartia, which was also the only one without a book and why I didnāt list it). I told him to take the $60 because I was taking advantage of him. He also had Super Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back, Super Mario RPG, Chrono Trigger (SNES), FF7, FF Anthologies, FF Tactics, and Xenogears, but I already have all of those. I told him to see what the game store would give him in cash for them and call me saying Iād likely match it.
I just need to find a way to get replacement 2-4 disc double cases or whatever theyāre called. I can replace the cases on the singles easy enough, but the thicker cases could use replacement.
err, i meant that it was $99 each. not 2 for $99.
however, i occasionally see te sticks for $50-$60 used on craigslist in my area, but too lazy/donāt care enough to pick them up.
I swear craiglist is like the criminal underground, I would never buy anything from there even if it was dirt cheap.
Cheap Option
I would look for some of the cheaper Greatest hits 2 disc games on ebay and use those cases. It works great as long as you have the original black label insert art and instruction book. I got a new case for my ff7 from a greatest hit version way back when you could get it for 10$ at Blockbuster.
I did some playing yesterday on the cases. Turns out that the clear plastic parts of the PSX double case are exactly the same as standard jewel cases. Only the black piece appears unavailable to buy new. No biggie since the black pieces are fine, its the clear pieces that are beat to hell and missing teeth. Once I replace the front and back door with new clear pieces from replacement jewel cases, those things look beautiful and shiny again.

Thats why toddles i have ask them to put ship my items to japan base then to me. That way its cheaper for me. Right now u have paid 50 dollars for shipping and another 20 dollars from usa base to ur home. Thats 70 dollars on shipping.
What i do is get few items for cheap on awesome deals, total lets say 10 items then ship from japan to canada using sea shipping and in one month will my my items. Total to ship from japan to my home is 80 dollars.
Thats why i never did again from japan to usa then to canada too much money for shipping.

Also got Final Fight Revenge for Sega Saturn JP game. Man was this game hard to get for that price i got it for. They go for 200 and plus and in japan auction is the same price too they go for lots of money. Anyways got for 101 shipped.

Iām kinda regretting passing up getting Final Fight Revenge for $50 at a long closed import video game store a long time ago. I passed it up for Sin and Punishment for JP N64 when it launched.
I canāt stand the camera in Fear Effect 1. I got that one for $7 at a mom and pop store clearing out PS1 games.
