Is it bad that this is my favorite thread on SRK? I donât have pics right now but I just scored a old style HRAP (full sanwa, MC Cthulhu+impV2+XB360pcb, detachable ethernet neutrik) for $40. I donât think he knew what he had because he only used it on a ps3. Great spare stick plus I already had ethernet converted PS2 and DC cables.
from a video I saw it looks decent enough for a padhack, specially when you compare it to the ds4 which iirc had very little input lag. also, thereâs no perfect west to test anyway.
They wouldnât let me do a console only pre-order at the 3 Gamestops I checked in the SF Bay Area today.
But they were selling $500$449.99 death bundles for the grey controller one again for units shipping out on April 5th.

P.S.
Folks can pre-order the Tekken 7 Mad Catz TE2+ (Red Version Only) and both versions of the Hori RAP Type N looking ones.
They didnât have a SKU in the system yet for the Hori RAP. 4 Kai looking stick for the Switch :â(
Edit - Slept on it, and broke myself this morning for the pre-order. At first I wanted the version that had the Neon Red & Blue Joy-Conâs, but after thinking about it, I came to my senses that the grey one was just as good/wouldnât draw as much attention when I used it at work or on the subway. I also pre-orderâed USFII TFC.
Yeah the preorders Game Stop is doing isnât for Console only units. Bundles only.
The Bundle I got instead of getting 1-2-Switch comes with The Zelda Strategy Guide and Shovel Knight.
I think these Bundles and not doing console only is to stop or slow down people who just flip the console on eBay.
There Switch consoles selling on eBay thats more than the bundles here.
Just watch out for those âthird-party sellersâ on Amazon. They have been having a crazy amount of scammers in the last few months. You see $200+ items selling for $50. Iâve already had an issue with one (wasnât even that good of a deal), he kept sending fake tracking numbers and Amazon wanted me to wait it out but I gave them hell and got my refund.
Because Fryâs canât send back product to a company that no longer exist and they want to clear out their Inventory.
Fryâs will take less of a lost clearance the sticks out then having them sit in their backrooms collecting dust.
Product not moving is money lost.
This is my Hori VLX. Iâve had it for a while but recently got the Jasenâs customs Hitbox panel for it and a Brook UFB. I went to a local sign shop and had them print my graphic with a pic of me and my CFN on a sticky piece of laminated vinyl. Pretty cool eh?
I canât see how Madcatzâ demise will affect the prices of their existing products. Its clear to all that once said product is in the hands of the consumer and the personalisation process begins, pretty much every stick becomes unique. What Iâm trying to point out is, the demand for aftermarket parts, sticks, buttons, blah, etc., for Madcatz products is so healthy, that owning one isnât a daunting prospect at all. This very site, and every member herein is testament to that. And every respectable store owner will know this. If I ran a game store, Iâd be buying cheap from source and selling at retail. Standard business practice.
