Smallcab.net are currently selling gold sanwa obsf buttons for the price of regular sanwa’s, 2.15€. I thought it was a mistake since the silver ones cost 5.40€, but they just mailed me my tracking number so i assume they honnor their pricing wether its a mistake or not. im still sceptical but ill have the package soon enough.
My cousin (the same one who gave his HRAP4Kai Silent a few months ago) was redoing his home office setup, and no longer had room for his small gaming setup on the side of the same desk. He moved his PS4 over to his living room TV (not sure why it wasn’t there in the first place), but he was just going to give me the BenQ monitor. I felt bad just taking it, so I told him to give me a number, which he eventually said $50 (Canadian dollars, which translates to a little over $35 USD these days). So I scored a very lightly used BenQ GL2450-B for that price.
Haha. Well, he and his wife do well for themselves, and 1) he doesn’t skimp out on his electronics, and 2) he tends to cycle through them on a fairly regular basis. So he’ll usually let the rest of the family have dibs on anything that he’s no longer using.
Hopped on the last day of GameStop.com’s buy two get one free on used retro games and snagged the following for $60:

Looking forward to my box full of scratched discs with no official cases or manuals :s
— Update —
Actually got ONE CASE!!!
PSX discs look brand new, so I’m pretty sure they got resurfaced before going out the door, so far all games play just fine on my FAT PS2 & CECHA PS3 (fingers crossed).
Nintendo games had clean contacts & fired right up in their respective systems too.
SNES Mini + cables
2x official Nintendo SNES controllers (one from the SNES Mini with the engraved “Nintendo” logo, the other looks like it’s from the older SNES releases with the tampo’ed “Super Nintendo” logo)
Scooby Doo Mysteries
Super Pinball
Stanley Cup
Toy Story
Condition seems to be pretty good overall. Most of the games are crap (other than Toy Story, I think), but getting official SNES controllers is nice.
Paid $100CDN for the lot (so about $75USD by today’s exchange).
For the most part, yes its true. Simply put if you want the best RGB video out of a actual SNES, the SNES Mini with the RGB restorative mod is the best and easiest way to go.
You can also go look for a Older SNES with a 1-Chip board revision, but those are harder to spot and require taking the console apart to find out.
This link here explains the differences in much more technical detail, the site (along with it’s creator) been one of the sources Coury and Try4ce used for their videos. http://retrorgb.com/snesversioncompare.html
I have done this RGB mod for my SNES Mini, including the extra step for the C-sync. (I also added a Power LED and snap out the cartgage slot tabs for playing Japanese game carts. http://retrorgb.com/snesminipremade7314.html
P.S. I skipped the Final Step of the RGB Mod, the 3 Resistors from the signal line points to Ground.
You only need to add the resistors if your picture is too bright.
@Darksakul
Sweet.
Not wanting to derail the thread too much, but just wanted to double-check: doing the RGB+SVideo mod on my SNES Mini will add S-Video compatibility (using a standard Nintendo S-Video cable) and RBG output (using, say a SCART-to-Multi-Out cable) plugged into the Multi-Out port, and doesn’t affect the stock Composite out on the unit?
Gotta figure out a way to open up my SNES first… do I hack a way through (Dremel out an old screwdriver or using the melting pen trick), or just order the bits and wait it out until I get them?..
