Well, I played both back in the day (Galaxy Fight arcade & Saturn, OOTLD remix version in Saturn).

Galaxy Fight plays a lot like the old Kof’s and SF Alpha/Zero, with fast gameplay and combos. The visuals are OK for the time with it’s futuristic setting.
If I remember correctly, some stages had infinite horizontal scrolling, no walls.

Outlaws of the lost Dynasty was only released in Japan, and is based off a book about some Chinese thieves during the Chinese Dynasties era.
It’s a bit slow paced, like early SF2’s, but it has combos, lots of cool characters, specials and supers and great music.

If you can, get them both on PSN!

we need Gem Fighter II :wink: 3D cel-shaded graphics, build it to have some competitive balance as well as the wacky gameplay, and put a ton of different Capcom characters in there.

I want X-men Vs Street Fighter back. A remake, reboot, whatever, I want to be able to play this game again. I don’t care about it’s sequels, and I can’t stand MvC series, but XMvSF was really fun.

MK: Shaoin Monks VS as an entire fighting game needs to happen. As does a remake of Def Jam: Fight for New York. those are games are too amazing.

On that note, here’s a compilation of some of Daigo’s Vampire Hunter play from back in the day. It was one of the first fighters he played competitively, and he won a tournament as recently as 2008.

Oookay… Aside from the not-so-recent Killer Instinct, it’s only Mortal Kombat X and the upcoming Smash Bros. Wii looming on the horizon. For me, KI was a tremendous effort and props to how they have managed to bring it back. SNK Playmore better re-think their priorities and start working on a new-ish Samurai Showdown instead of milking the hell out of KOF.

Also, JBA:ASB is pretty decent as to how an IP should be rebooted IMO, although that is VERY debatable seeing it has more in common with the Naruto-style games than something of the pure breed classics such as KI. Sooo… when’s Darkstalkers?
