Mmm… I charge the same than the other unblockable… I don’t think there’s a big difference in timing
I need to start charging back a little earlier for this UB than for the other dash tackle UBs. I charge back a split second after I hear Urien start to say “A.” Here is a very rough idea of what I mean:
A A A A . . . G G I I S S S------------------- A A A A . . . G G I I S S S
--------^--------------------------------------------^
------Necro----------------------------------------Alex
I can get it pretty consistently using this method on Xbox. Not sure if the timing will be the same for PS2.
You could also try this UB on Alex:
c.hp, lk tacklexxhp Aegis, mp headbutt (whiff), hk tackle (whiff)
For the headbutt you charge down-back then go up-back + mp, so that you can buffer the hk tackle. I think this version is easier to execute. Sometimes I screw up and the tackle doesn’t come out or it connects instead of whiffing. You can test it for yourself and see how you like it.

anyone know who made this or the website its from i found it when randomly going through websites sometime last year and just remembered i had it
I have little bit of trouble doing the super after the 2nd tackle on shotos, urien etc… any tips or should i just practice until i get it…
also i so a threat like this in the main section but nobody seem to respond the dude how u do the dash headbutt to tackle. i saw it in a gvision ranbat rx vs i belive it might be jima dudley if not mistaken?
i f around with it but i did d/b to charge for the headbutt then up foward but in order for the tackle to come out i hit <— into -->and the shoulder came out side i started the combo is this weird or i’m doing something wrong cuz i thought i would finish the move the side i ended up meaning --> into <—
I have a question on the general midscreen u/b
I can partition just fine but it seems on anyone other than Chun and Makoto I am just not getting there in time w the F+mk. I’m pushing them into the Aegis but the sprites are not yet overlapping on wakeup. Way too easy to parry and throw
Is the RH tackle after Aegis timed specifically or just as fast as possible. My dash to headbutt is instant so that is not the issue.
Do the tackle into super slowerMeaning delay the short tackle a little bit since those bitches glide a little bit in the air and you should be fine:tup:
ahhh, there we go…
Geez all that work for an extra tackle?
dont get me wrong the HB partition is stylish
but…c.HP tackleXXfpAegis, dash back and whiff dHP, RH kneedrop and headbutt over to unblock is just so much easier
You are losing damage there, the one made with the second tackle. And you can’t be near your corner in that UB.
It’s best to do the shoto UB with no gaps in between (between cr. fierce and short/forward tackle, fierce aegis and rh tackle, rh tackle and dash, etc.) while always keeping a charge if needed. It’s not flash or anything.
I was watching a video of RX, and at one point he kneedrops Makoto out of the air then throw an Aegis over her, then headbutts over for the unblockable. I was wondering, can you not quick roll after being knocked down by the knee drop, or is it a fast enough move that opponents won’t expect it, or do you have enough time to see whether or not your opponent quick rises?
any tips for the midscreen unblockable that goes like : elbow, mk tackle, aegis, fk tackle, kneedrop, dash, fk tackle…
I can already do the other ones…the charge partition headbutt and the charge partition tackle but it seems like they all have different timings eventho it should be the same amout of charge right?
anywho i get it once in a while, but i may be doing something wrong so ANY help, tips, anything is appreciated.
what is the point of doing it?
if you dont know how to do it just say so…the jap and american vids that i have seen that have that connect into the unblockable…
answer…
its not hard, but i think emphy mentioned something about how its only one parry to get out of, so its not that good. i would just stick with the standard dash headbutt.
i can see it in video all day but how is it done basically what i would like to know is when doing the rh kneedrop do i charge from df to up and then once on the other side db, dash, tackle? or is it more like d, up for the kneedrop then start the charge partitioning once you land from the kneedrop?
Since no one has responded yet, I’m going to venture a guess. Don’t hold me to it, but hopefully it’s a start in the right direction. Seems like you would cr. fierce, forward tackle (buffered as soon as you can), aegis, roundhouse tackle (buffered from the aegis). At this point I suspect you start charging down while you do the roundhouse tackle. Then when you’re done with the tackle you do the kneedrop and as soon as you do the knee drop start buffering the charge for the tackle, then charge partition the tackle with a dash toward your opponent. Have you looked at the first few pages? I might actually be up there somewhere. I hope that helps (probably not, but i tried).
yeah i read all 20 pages yesterday…found a few good things but mainly people concerned or unable to do the headbutt unblockable… but no mention of this U/B
But i got it tho’
This is the way to do it:
Elbow>mk tackle>aegis>fk tackle>fk kneedrop(charge df to UB) land on the other side while still holding UB but UB now on the other side becomes UF, but you still hold it in UF and you keep the charge as if it was UB(that’s the secret) OK than you land and dash and than do the tackle(back to forward fk or mk)
thanx to Truetech for hooking it up with the explanation!
This thread means a lot to me, because for a while I was doing a Aegis and attempting a dashing partitioned headbutt without the extra RH tackle. I’ve tested this method and I can actually do this unblockable, and its gonna help my game a lot. What makes it harder for me is the timing of the aegis interruption on my my dashing headbutt, so I would either way to long or do it to fast. At least the main unblockable isnt that bizarre a timing.
After roughly 2 years of not playing 3S, I come back to practice my Urien once again and I suddenly am able to do the midscreen dash headbutt unblockable out of the blue. Destiny. :lovin:
However, I can’t do the fucking dash tackle for the life of me. I’m trying the -GIS timing method, but no dice. I’ve been combing the thread for other tips, trying different timings, and practicing my fingers off, but still nothing.
question:
vs oro i do
c.HP, dash back, c.HP (feint), RH kneedrop, HP headbutt
this crosses up with enough time to unblockable, but is there a faster way to get on the other side of oro so i can mix it up? anything with a dash seems like it would be just as, if not slower considering its required to do the dashback and the RH kneedrop
no “do the ex headbutt” unblockable doesn’t qualify as my answer
so whats a faster unblockable haha
