Enjoy!!!
nice to see a rbs thread. too bad rb2 wasn’t the ultimate rb sort to speak of. it really does feel like a dream match. some characters really got fucked in RB2 (mai, though shes still pretty decent). also, terry not s class in rbs? terry and yamazaki can both be real mean if you know how to use them. how about franco and his 75% damage combo from anywhere on the screen (without super and i mean 75% of both bars combined). though its gotta be started from a HP ©. pretty much everybody kicks ass in RBS.
p.s. the mai in the vid is pretty good. but whats wrong with lauwrence? every time he could have done a 100% combo (1 bar, not both) he only did 3 hits? besides sometime falling for obvious things like getting hit by mai’s sdm? wtf, he really needs to learn his lauwrence better.
I actually think that Yamazaki was the only character to have been beefed up from RBS to RB2, as he gained his awesome pursuit move and generally feels a lot more beefy than his RBS version.
I think Terry and Yama in RBS are A Class…Franco is borderline S also… RBS is soooo fun…everyone has SOMETHING good in the game!!!
Even then too Sokaku’s Infinite is not easy to perfect!!!
Thanks for the Mai compliments…this is the best version of Mai I’ve pretty much ever seen!!!
Tiers revisited:
S Class:
Billy, Sokaku, Mai, Kim
A Class:
Krauser, Franco, Terry, Yamazaki, Laurence Blood.
Bump…more RBS matches/casuals coming soon.
What are all these Sokaku combos, anyway? Have only gotten to play around with this game a little bit and couldn’t find much.
Thanks,
Josh.
damn, sokaku is so powerful in this one its not even funny. his best version by far, yes even better than the RB1 version. some basic combos for sokaku, without his infinites even, he still takes more than 1 bar of damage (more than 50%). some combos (without jump ins, you can always add them).
:snka:, :snkb:, :r: + :snkc:, :qcb: + :snkd:, :dp: + :snkb:, :d: + :snkc:
:snkc:, :snkc:, :d: + :snkc:, :d: + :snkc:, :d: + :snkc:, :dp: + :snkb:, :d: + :snkc: (corner)
i think his infinite went something like this:
:snka:, :snkb:, :r: + :snkc:, :snka: repeatedly, :snkd: and repeat IIRC. don’t quote me on this one. been quite a while since i played it through.
Yes this is all very true…
Sokaku is my main in rbs and rb2
About the sokaku infinite, you can do it only when:
If the corner wall isn’t broken is possible to do only one loop of the infinite when the enemy is NEAR the corner
BTW, these are the only japanese matches that can be found on the net:
Thank you for that Soh…

Hey, huge real bout special fan here. Can anybody explain how the grab P power supers are used in some of these combos…

On :50, Duck King does a plain shift to the foreground after knocking his opponent down. His opponent’s body follows duck to the plain and the grab super is comboed.
Same deal at 2:32 with Yamazaki.
How does the knocked down body follow the player during a plain shift?
If anyone still checks this thread…thanks.
It looks like they do a plain shift recover after the knockdon which enables you to continue your combos.
Where is tung fu ru on this list and Franco bash? Man I wish ninjamatt had this game so I could show yall some tung!
Right, in RBS if the opponent use the plain shift recover then you can change plain and continue the combo with a command throw (there is no need to be a Super throw).
BTW those wonderful combos shown in that video are divinely difficult if not impossible to do in a real match, some are also character specific.
I’d say Franco is A class, Tung A also…
Could someone do a Geese & Krauser write-up?
For RBS…Sure I can do it sometime later when I get the time…
Krausers a little different from RB2 in that his Tomahawk Knocks down and hes got some different Dial a combo options that arent in RB2…as well as less overall moves.
