This was an awesome tourney, guys! It was defintely worth the trip from Sunnyvale despite the confusing campus layout I had to wade my way through lol.
The venue was very comfortable with lots of space to roam around to scope out the competition while waiting for matches.
I’m also glad to see that snacks and drinks were provided and at a reasonable price at that. Gotta keep up that tourney endurance throughout thte day that’s for sure.
GGs to all I played in casuals and in tourney namely Zerodemise, Kurokiba and the Rog player whose name I forgot SORRY: Thanks for the fight money before the tourney and grats to you Kiba for placing second in singles. Yeah I know Scunsion’s Sagat is lame with his constant stream of TUs XD kidding. Seriously though, always a pleasure to play with chill dudes!

Long aka LPN: Good shit on getting fourth in singles losing to Vega in doubles lol kidding. I repsect you and you did a lot better than me in singles as always. I thought it was going to be you or Jason in grand finals, but oh well next time, man. You are part of my inspiration for choosing to play Vega after all:lovin: I’m never bored whenever I see you play. Good shit, my friend.
Ghostmaker: My god, how many matches did we play against each other lol. Your Abel is beastly, man; handing me my ass in both singles and doubles (although I did catch on and got a few games in on you…only for you to do the same on me lol). GREAT games, man. I think I know more about the Abel matchup than I could’ve ever imgained hahaha.
Lastly, I would like to thank Brian aka Mr. Grimmz on being an excellent partner throughout the doubles tourney. Don’t worry, man. We’ll run it back on 360 next time, mi amigo in arms. PEOPLE JUST DON’T KNOW!
Oh, and BIG shoutouts to the two players who repped Vega (sorry forgot your names. I’m bad with them lol) and winning with him! That seriously made my day this past weekend as well as all the howling and yodeling during doubles lol. Let’s keep up the Vega hype in SSFIV, baby!

Thanks for all the great comments and feedback. I’m really glad we were able to host this as it turned out much better than i thought it would. I know it sounds cliche, but couldn’t have done it without you guys, the participants, otherwise it would’ve been a bit small. I hope we can/will do this again next year, and make it even bigger and better.

GGs to the winners and everyone I played, it was a very fun tourney, and I thank the organizers.
One thing I’d like to say though is I think the organizers could have been a little bit more firm on the rules for the team tourney. It seemed like some people didn’t realize that this wasn’t winner-stays-on style, and that winners can’t change their team order in the 2/3 matches. Also I think it’s a better idea to not be able to switch characters all the time, nor to have 2 of the same character on the same team. But in any case, I think the organizer should have made a clear, loud announcement of the rules at the beginning of the team tourney to make sure everyone knew what was going on.
Otherwise it was fun, and I’m definitely down for another tourney at UCSC!
Wow…what a great tourney…It was so much fun (even though i only played 1 game…lol didn’t make it in time…thanks DopeUyuu!!! jk) and Damn those twinkies were hella good…well worth the money! Clutch move having cute girls sell all the stuff too…great marketing tool! lol…anyways Just wanted to thank you guys (ie nate, ali, etc.) for such a fun expierence. Can’t wait for more wed. night fightnights. Ohh and yea i agree that you need to have xbox’s on the next one…I’ll bring my LCD and xbox fosho…
