I have to agree with that, I think asians look down on the west, dont know about mexico, but they do look down on the west, overall.
but you already saw those Europe matches like they mean anything

You should try to play some of the unknown Japanese players. I can assure you that they will provide a challenge. Basically it’s like work; you start at the bottom and work your way to the top. The more you win against low level Japanese or Asian the more they will mention your name and you will work your way to the top. Just a theory though.
No I am right…
Wait a minute we are not talking about JP/Asia>US/Mexico, right? We are talking about being able to play against good competition online right? Or is this another JP/Asia dick rider?s thread? Now let me say this again since nobody understood in the first message and I’m going to be a little more direct here.
The top players from Mexico and the U.S. DO NOT PLAY ONLINE because KOF online is NOT playable NO discussion is simply NOT, period is NOT. I’ve tried myself and is unplayable there’s either LAG or INPUT LAG, sure for fun and kicks it’s okay but unless KOF has Net code like SF4 and you have an internet connection like in Japan it should not even be consider.
I’m sure a lot of you have seen the “God’s Garden” series, their connection and Net code is so good that they are doing this shit online now (which IMO is something impressive). If we were to have this technology in north America I am sure every top player would join, I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this to happen and I wish that by the time this happens I am still playing KOF. Now Asian players might already be enjoying something like this since from what I hear they have their own version of GGPO and their internet connection should allow it, but here in North America no it’s just a myth.
Now if this thread is to complaint about internet providers and connection in North America and why you can’t play with the top players from Asia then you are an idiot because you already know that is because we live in North America and this thread is completely wrong and should be deleted.
In conclusion, those of you who think are good because you beat one or two guys online from Mexico, Peru, Brazil, etc… You are retarded and a moron because KOF online competition does not exist, there is NONE.
I’m done in this pointless thread.
EDIT:
Exactly! and BTW Shoryuken - Gods Garden Online 2 Announced  they are so lucky, I can only dream of the day
uh sf4 has pretty regular netcode…its not as good as ggpo
im guessing he doesn’t have usb polling rate hack
I think the answer is talking about Kaillera
You wouldn’t be so offended if it weren’t the truth.
“Top players of US” is pointless to talk about when it comes to kof. Top players in Mexico actually do play online. Osmani, Kula, Luischa, among others, happen to play on it quite a bit.
GGPO netcode is better than SF4.
Hi, well, most online players as Emil said, are not very good, I am mexican and indeed there are a lot of mexican players that aren’t as good as they say and thay are so immature, I can defeat a lot of them, some of them when defeated complain about lag… or my way of playing ,like Emil said most of them make suicide moves that I can take an advantage of, and they say that I do not know how to play because I dont make combos. Most of them use Kim and everybody knows when Kim has the 5 stocks what they will try to do. But i can tell Emil that not everybody in the Online scene represents all the mexican kof scene. I used to play a lot vs Osmani, Kula on Arcade and other very good players so I can tell you not everyone is like that and we dont know for sure wich country has the best player, but I am sure that Japan has a better organization and a better rank system than any other country.
Greetings from Mexico
too bad Emil just believes what he sees on the internet
#1 - I can read inbetween the lines.
#2 - In regards to how your response to The Answer:
Why? Because since they DON’T play online, your RETARDED & STUBBORN self wants to REFUSE they exist in this country? God you’re such a fucking idiot!
I guess the #snkplaymore committe of the U.S competitive SNK community…brought to you by…EFNET  , has the final say of who’s a “legit/pro” KOF/SNK player in the U.S…as LONG AS THE PLAY ON GGPO (and/or involved with that rediculous channel)!!!
So you just go ahead and continue to DODGE (offline where it matters, like The Answer said) those “Top U.S KOF players”…you claim that don’t exist.
Edit: I don’t care how u respond to this. You’re ignored anyways. It’s pitiful when someone has to IM me, because of the silly things u say.
no, because the level just isn’t up there (in comparison to the likes of latin america, asia, and even europe), and people would have to be utterly deluded to think it is. not to mention the lack of a real scene since its so niche here. its literally not worth talking about -_-
I dunno about that. I think top (REAL) KoF players in this country (and if you don’t know who those people are then i dunno what to tell you…i’ll give u a hint, they’ve played vs. international comp before and held their own HERE IN THIS COUNTRY…and MEXICO) can handle everyone in the world accept the chinese and some of mexico. Like I said those bastards in that channel just SIMPLY DO NOT WANT TO RECOGNIZE WHO THE TOP PLAYERS ARE IN THIS COUNTRY. because they’re NOT involved in that channel and they DON’T play online.
and that’s bullshit.
Yawn yawn yawn at a stupid pointless thread. If you hate the level of play here in the USA get off your fucking ass and go travel and play someone with skill. That goes for all you online/GGPO players etc.
Yes the top players like myself and the ones in AI can hold their own internationally…I play in Mexico as everyone knows and I can hold my own in KOF, Mr. KOF has access to people from Hong Kong etc and he can hold his own as well so there are those top players in the USA that can hold their own against international competition because they have access to INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION.
The guy from Mexico is right, what you see on GGPO does not equal everything but why am I sitting here telling people like this here if you think online is all Godlike and shit, when I bet 97% of you wouldnt beat me in real life or wouldnt even beat the locals in Juarez, Mexico and you all been playing online for like EVA.
I mean hell as Oscar says the top players DONT REALLY PLAY ONLINE…Online is nice for training and all but if you REALLY WANNA TAKE YOUR GAME TO A NEW LEVEL, you gotta get off your lazy ass and travel.
I have seen this scrubby ass lazy shit from the USA for quite sometime and that’s why I am helping the Mexican scene 90% more than the worthless shit I see here.
You guys here just don’t learn that’s why I don’t waste my time with you all anymore, get off your asses and get international competition, or you will all be scrubs for life…end of story.
Emil what do you know about Mexico?? Luis Cha? Don’t talk about Luis Cha seriously he is like my right hand man outside of Lecter when it comes to tournaments… Luis Cha plays online but he does NOT and WILL NOT rate it over offline, offline is where it is without question…
Why are you guys listening to people still that don’t travel? Don’t you fools get it yet? Why listen to someone with no experience in this shit?
Pathetic that people are still talking about this stuff it really is…
KULA for one doesnt like online play and though he plays on it he prefers offline without question.
All these names Emil dropped…Kula, Osmani, Luis Cha, prefer offline to online without question when getting their training. So let’s see if you wanna follow what they are doing you should GO TO TOURNAMENTS TOO?
Luis Cha has been at JuareZ WarZone, JuareZ WarField, gonna be at Battle 4 Mexico, bottom line is he goes to tournaments…and when you go to tournaments and travel do you have a need to make a stupid thread about the rant about the level of players here…
Only reason you would do that is because you dont get off your ass and travel…which is YOUR PROBLEM…Travel and that solves the problem period…
You say that like it’s the easiest thing in the goddamn world. Jeez, look at Japan with the Godsgarden series, that is taken pretty seriously & more Top players are taking online seriously. I don’t see why Online can’t be with KoF seeing how we have a client with good netcode other people stuck in the past. I mean I love playing in person, I get the chance to every Friday, I’d love to travel to Mexico and places to play in person but I cannot.
all this shit has been discussed here already (except for the recognition of U.S top players/and how Japan can get away with online serious business and their GDLK netcode or whatever the U.S doesn’t have…like Oscar explained already earlier):
Shoryuken - Update to Arcade King of Fighters XIII is Coming Soon
starts here and drifts into the rest of the pages.
long story short. games like KOF can’t be compared to SSF4 in terms of flexibility of playing online and offline…and keeping the value of its popularity.
Of course it ain’t easy, anything that is worth having is worth working for…playing online and JUST playing online for now in KOF is like keeping training wheels on your bike, when you travel and leave this country and play REAL players IN PERSON you are actually taking those training wheels off…so yes online is good for training etc, but if that is to the extent that you just wanna get good then hey so be it,
But if you wanna actually be relevant to the competitive scene you gotta go travel all it is to it, or you don’t exist, you can be Kaillera King and no one gives a fuck…
And you totally miss the point of what I was saying.
You don’t see why online can’t be that way…that’s nice and all but until it gets that way what are you going to do? That’s my answer to your point, I am not gonna sit by and wait until online becomes flawless like that sorry, I’m not gonna do that…
And even when online becomes that way I will not put it over offline play ever ever ever, I learn much more in person than I could ever hope to learn sitting at home online versus someone…it’s about interaction and other stuff…handling adversity/pressure, all the stuff seasoned tournament players know about that GGPO people that simply play online just don’t have any idea…
And not everyone can travel, but the top players travel…The Justin Wongs of each community etc…all top players in a community TRAVEL…you can’t escape that…so you can look for a easy way out (Online), or you can do what the real top players do, and save up, buy your time until you can travel…or you are always gonna be playing catchup to the communities top players…
There is no way around it…to avoid it is to cheat yourself and take the easy way out and that will catch up with you in an international tournament…
Answer this:
Is high level play possible online?
