The problem is that it feels so much like a grind because you have to wati for good matches basically since your often going to fight people way out of your league but they just quit on you anyway. Then it’s possible you could lsoe to something random.
LP is not a reflection of skill
Alioune has 65 LP
Good luck beating him in battle lounge.
If you are playing ranked then sure you can potentially measure a players skill.
But if someone plays only casual or battle lounge then the LP means nothing at all.
Plus you have to consider that a “Gold” League player may have had 1,000 fights to get there and grinds everyday.
Someone in silver only played 100 fights, who has the better win/loss ratio? Obviously the silver.
The second thing you have to remember and I personally fall into this category:
So far I’ve learned 10 characters in this game, now I’m not perfect with all of them by any means but I do have a good level of competence in playing them and like a fool I played ranked, losing tons of points and league downing several times.
So my winning percentage with different characters fluctuates a good bit.
My Gief? ASS, my Sim…eh fair. I’m sure people I played in ranked popped off and felt themselves too much.
I constantly have to remind myself of this; that LP means nothing.
You won’t qualify Capcom Cup with LP, won’t get any real $$$ with your LP.
Unfortunately with the 2/3 set up rage quitting I think has become worst.
The random players are fine stealing that 1 game that you may have failed to adjust quick enough to beat them in.
But if you beat them in the next game and then expose them even worst in the final game.
A rage quit is 100% guaranteed!!
there IS NEARLY 40 pages in the rage quit thread. 100s of names in the OP
COD knows when you rage quit, MKX knows when you rage quit, Pokken knows when you rage quit.
Capcom…come on guys.
Ranked incompletely imbalanced you have to straight up be a league huger better in skill than your going. If your going for ultra bronze you have to be silver skill. I swear I was never going to see silver again. In bronze all I fought was super silver , ultra silver , gold and ultra gold. I even played RayRay in platinum but he left at the start out of mercy it was completely evident that it was not a rage quit. I was on tilt all I wanted to do was fight any bronze anywhere meanwhile my friends who was in bronze his entire list is filled with bronze. That’s when we realized that your rank is independent of your lp I had a “silver rank” but bronze lp.
Honestly, I find intermediate (silver) players easier to beat than bronze. Most silver players I’ve encountered don’t do dumb shit but they get comfortable and predictable which makes it easy to get reads, adapt etc. Especially with the new option to run shit back. I’ve had someone double perfect me in game 1, then fail to get a round on me in games 2 and 3. Then you have bronze players who just do a lot of OMGWTFBBQ type shit and sometimes I fall victim to that shit, no lie.
The only silver player I encountered that was actually somewhat skilled was a Dhalsim player. Sent that bitch a friend request, gotta have friends in my corner that are better than me at the game. Then again, I got to 1200 LP and stopped playing ranked altogether. I only play casual and battle lounge now.
