I actually got it as a mark of respect to Sony.
Before they released the PS1 gaming was literally a “hobby” that was seen by adults as a kiddy thing to do.
But with the PS1 and Sony’s smart marketing towards adults and developers making games like Resident Evil, Tomb Raider, Gran Turismo and others they made adults care about gaming.
I know Sony was not solely responsible for gaming growing up but the fact they marketed the console towards adults right from the release of the console.
One great example is at launch in Australia they were given away as prizes on an adult TV show.
I actually plan to get the Atari logo on my other arm in the future for kick starting gaming in a big way (Even though they were also responsible for the video game industry crash of the early 80’s)
