It was made intentionally more confusing than it needed to be, by including close friendships on a chart that’s supposed to chronicle the X-Men *family * tree. Seriously, there’s no real reason for people like Deadpool to be on there.
Except that he is way too popular after Origins.
My favorite thing about the Xmen family tree is on the right. If you look, there’s a figure with Corsair for his head, Havok and Vulcan for arms, Cyclops as the penis, Jean Grey/Madeline Pryor kneecaps, and Cable/Nate Grey feet. Now THAT mutant I would pay money to see
