Random Evo thoughts: I hate X-Factor, Zero, Vergil, and Akuma

This is why people who don’t know enough about fighting games shouldn’t be able to post.
Imo they should need to take an exam every time before posting to measure their knowledge about the games, if they don’t pass they can’t post their ignorance and pollute the forum

To the OP: Who gives a shit… Everyone are playing some top-high tier character in Marvel just to be able to compete anyway, but overall this year’s top 8 was the game’s BEST top 8 so far. The least amount of fraudulent happenings, and the most knowledgeable, nuanced play. It’s your problem that you can’t see past the character select screen.

ChrisG didn´t won anything.
Infiltration´s Hakan,
KOF Final
and much more.
IT WAS HYPE.

EVO 2013 might have been one of the most godlike tournaments ever. It clearly solidified itself as THE tournament to be at.

Lol, lets not exaggerate please.

100% honesty…I didn’t like it. It’s prolly cuz I’m disengaged with every game on the main stage, but KOFXIII. And sure enough, the KOF part of the tourney was pretty good to me. The rest was like watching Olympic Curling or rowing, you want your side to win, but you could give 2 shits about the sport.

Or… you just want to see someone lose… I really wanted to see Daigo lose SSF4 (Which he did) and I don’t give a fuck about the game. I just like seeing Daigo lose so I can watch fanboys cry. It’s funny.

That said… KoF was godlike. Tekken pissed me off for being on Friday… Seriously? Fuck that, Tekken got no respect.

I’m still mad Infiltration won xT. I wanted him to lose too…

Im not a “Smasher” but Melee got me hype and shouting to the screen all the time. Bring it back next year. Marvel was dope too. SSF4 I have mixed feelings, Sako didnt win so Im sad, Xian played godlike even pushing like 4 buttons in all the matches, so it was kind of boring.

Daigo hasnt lost any fight spirit, his character cant do anymore at that level (IMO). Marvel was too damn hype again.

NRS fighters were the most boring and even so I liked a bit more MK9 then Injustice.

KOF XIII had an amazing finals too.

EDIT: Only thing I didnt liked about KOF was watching almost the same teams as last year save for Ryo in and Billy out.

Didnt watched Skullgirls, maybe later at YT

Greatest EVO ever? Not IMO but I might be biased cause of reasons.

I never meant to say they’re unbeatable, merely that they’re very strong strategies that somewhat embody the fighting style of…cowardice

Edit: And to answer your first question, yes.

Watch Daigo’s match against Infiltration. Watch Laugh’s match vs. Infiltration. You can feel the hunger.

They’re playing to fucking win and get money. Who the fuck cares if they play lame? Seriously? Get the fuck over it.

Yo dawg, if you pissed off about pollution call Captain Planet for help.

Nevermind that he still can’t distinguish deliberation from cowardice.

Yo, to everyone hatin on my brilliant starting post. I heard you and my pride has been ko’d.

I didn’t even freakin watch the finals of MvC3 because my hype meter died.

I didn’t respect all the bravery the Akuma players showed because I was too bored and annoyed by all the cowardice in Akuma’s playstyle.

Ima keep an open mind from now on and lrn 2 respect the crap I was pissed off about instead of being pissed off about it.

Agreed. Props to smash being shown for the very first time at Evo! May we see them again!

Cowardice? Seriously? I mean, you think they’re just going to blindly go fucking haymaker in it when they’re fighting people that can beat the shit out of them off of 1 mistake? No, you play it safe. and nobody gives a fuck if your “hype meter” died. That’s your own damn fault.

Sry bro, Ima buff my hype meter for next year. It just takes a beating when it has to watch Vergil and Zero, but I’ll practice not getting my hype destroyed when I see them. Any tips?

I never meant to say that players who play Akuma are cowardly, and I’m very sorry if I rudely hinted that. I believe both Tokido and Infiltration are fierce fighters. The problem is that the developers have designed Akuma to force players to play cowardly when they use Akuma. That’s all I meant I think.

Edit: Akuma has a lot of non-cowardly haymaker stuff in him too which is actually nice to watch. I would describe it more as “perfected rage” than haymakers though. When Akuma punishes you with a combo that uses meter, he uses nearly every special move he has to do it and it freakin hurts.

Players exploit things. They designed Akuma to be the same Akuma he is in every game - a rushdown god. But people have found more effective ways to play him. Marvel vs. Capcom 2 - Magneto was designed as a keep away character… Magneto… with various zoning projectiles, he was designed as a keep away character. Let that one sink in, the next time you talk about how a developer designs a character.

Again, if you don’t like the way X player plays X character, don’t watch it.

Man, you are such a scrub
The beauty of the fighting games is that every character brings a different play style and strategy to the table.
Is really sad that there is a huge amount of imbeciles out there that can’t see it and feel that every fight should be only decided by close range combat smh

@Hecatom

Ever notice, every year after Evo, FGD loads up with stupid threads?
