So whats the acceptable level of disco rate for you guys? I personally have 0 disco over 600 matches and will boot the player if they have over %5 disco rate.
If they’re 4-5 bars, I’ll have a go with those with a high DC with making them RQ my top priority, since I don’t really care about points. Saikyo Crushers all over the place.
I kinda weigh in the name, disco rate and the connection and sometimes title/icon.
Even how far I’m into a championship has influence. If it’s the 1st battle I’ll often take a chance.
If the rate is over 10% forget it, below that, I’ll still play if other factors are good.
Name/title/icon can kinda give you a clue if they’re a 11 year old moron. I won’t waste my time.
Some characters seem to have an advantage in lag so if the connection’s iffy I’ll consider kicking em.
And if I’m not sure, I’ll wait. A lot of times a bar or two will drop after a couple seconds. So I’ll wait and see if it does.

Dr. Chaos typically mains Ken, so it’s kind of unlikely he was salty and deliberately quit (I know it’s rare, but I’ve personally experienced connections that just time out). Plus, there’s no concrete evidence to even prove that was him. It’s very possible he had friends playing on his account.

It obviously dropped connection because when people rage quit they are usually standing neutral or being attacked. I’m crouching awaiting to tech your throw, then walk up kara demon you. :karate:
this is a prime example of how people just don’t get the internet… i have a news flash for you: when information is being routed across the US there are ALL KINDS of reasons that a disconnect could happen. your routing across public lines through multiple CO’s, large corporations and people in the local area also use these public lines… so if say a large amount of traffic were to come from a local corporation your information could reach the area and be re-routed through a different state and if that rerouting takes too long a dc will happen. or a line could have gotten cut. or there could be a ddos attack on either end of the connection. or YOUR antivirus or other software on the local network could run a large update… i could go on for a while with examples… suffice it to say though that unless it’s BLATANTLY obvious (they walked back to the other side of the screen or were in the middle of a ultra animation that would have won it for you) don’t automatically assume a rage-quit and rush here to post it…

The scrub landed a combo on the 1st round then taunted me at which point I proceeded to own him. The second round I was beating the shit out of him then he quits mid combo before I KO him…that sad part? It was a player match. The scrub rage quitted on me in a player match…lol I thouht he may be decent since he had the Rog cube head…but I guess not
Exactly. I’ve had this happen to me a LOT. Just random dc’s for no reason, happening at any point in the match. The nastygrams that follow them are generally retarded at best.
But still, this thread is funny as hell in a lot of cases. Because, let’s face it, blatant drops are hilarious.

Played this guy on SFIV PC who had to be one of the most awful Sagats I have ever played. Anyways, he quit after he did a random wake up ultra while I was already about to land behind him. I guess he quit because he knew I was gonna Ultra him from behind.
