Ran into Phenethylamine1 on GFWL today, he kept trying to join my match and I had to keep kicking him. I had to send a msg telling him that I don’t play ragequitters, and his name was known here.
He replies with: “it’s just a game”

I tell him that yes, it’s a game, but I choose not to waste my time on someone that dc’s when they lose.

He then goes on about some tangent about netcode and spamming hadoukens and so on. It was sort of unrelated to anything, so I just said whatevs, nothing personal, but I’m not playing you.

This one’s really dumb. INFAMOUSFIGHTER’s Cammy shenanigans got me a couple times previously, but when I figured him out and put it to him, he idiot drops after losing the first round. A request for a rematch that went ignored, and I knew he pulled intentionally. It was compounded when he sent an all-capsed reply claiming he was better than I was. Please. Look at tha damage!

I was thinking that one round d/c may not be ragequit but read on and yes, this guy is WORSE than the typical quitters… this one gave up after 1 round… WTF ?! !!!

Not a ragequit but everyone be on the lookout for a G1 TURBO Bison by the name of tafka07.
He beat me once yesterday and thats when i started to suspect him. Lo and behold i decide to play some more chumpionship mode (not a typo) and who is my first fight? Tafka07. I played real 'lax just to see if he was indeed using turbo. Of course he was. He had c.lk’s flying out everywhere. So i beast him once i get wind of his cheating.

Then i decide to see if he has any replays. Of course he just got done gaying a Ryu out of a final seconds before he fought me. I mean literally it was the second replay on the list. I turned on input display and it further proved my theory.

Better yet, i googled his name to see if it had come up before, and what do i get? A link to a a tourney that he is competing in. I was gonna out him on there but i wouldve had to sign up and all that crap…wasnt worth it.

Summary avoid TAFKA07. He is a cheater.

I played a guy that decided to drop on me after not even 10 seconds of the first match. What the hell was the point of that? I barely even did anything! I hit him with a few jabs and a short. He stops playing and stands there so I figured he was going to drop. This was literally after 5 seconds in the match. I go and finish him off so I can finish this lame match and he drops as I’m about to KO him in the FIRST ROUND. Who stops playing after 5 seconds into a match?!?!

I came across this other asshole in player matches that set it to 1 round 30 seconds. What the hell is the point of that? IT’S FREAKING PLAYER MATCHES. I didn’t notice and clicked ready. I can at least see why idiots would do it for Ranked but Player matches? Why even bother to play the game? You’re just spending the majority of your time staring at the lobby.

^What does using turbo actually accomplish? Seriously, I never knew.

Also, why do ppl still put it on 1rd, 30 sec in ranked? I mean lets say u level up in pts drastically. Now, not only do u have 30k+BP, but now ur fighting most likely a pool of players WAY beyond ur skill level. SO, basically u just set urself up to loose constantly, thus not getting any fun out of the game.

Well certain chars like bison hit all the links with turbo and that makes the game A LOT easier if you’re rushing down.

I don’t know why the fuck they still put turbo switches on sticks…especially SF4 sticks.

I kinda agree but here is my main gripe with it, Bison can lock down Vega with nothing but lk’s because Vega has no invincibility on any of his moves. Add on the fact that this means never dropping a link (not that Dictator has many difficult links in the first place) and i feel cheated.

But once i knew what was going on, it was CH city and it was an easy fight.

not only that, it actually links normals for you that normally require super tight timing…i did zangief’s hard trial 5 by using turbo, just held it the who time, linked it perfectly. helps a lot on gen’s hard 5 too

It won’t really help with Honda’s HHS combos, because those require you to hit different buttons really quickly in succession…OK, maybe it will help a bit…but its not easy mode HHS with turbo. Some of honda’s best stuff is still really hard with turbo (according to my friend Brian who mains honda and has tried turbo as an experiment).

And there is nothing for Chun in terms of legs that you need turbo for. All her legs combos are easy as hell once you get the hang of it.

Vega gets raped for free by Bison even without turbo, but I see what you are getting at.

I guess my point is that I think calling the use of turbo “cheating” is pointless…turbo users are only hurting themselves and I have literally NEVER run into a turbo user who could beat me because of the turbo.
