“Ragequitters” is just a title given to the people that drop their connections when things aren’t going well for them. It’s a funny title, that’s all. You don’t need “superhuman powers” to know that a lag-free connection suddenly dropping when a big combo is pulled off was done intentionally. If people don’t want to be on a list of ragequitters, then they shouldn’t ragequit. Simple. The list really doesn’t mean anything, anyway. At the very worst, a couple of people will avoid playing with them so as to avoid being disconnected on.
They’re just funny pictures showing people being poor sports. You’re making too much out of it.

I have a cellphone with a camera (woooow technology) and im as sure as fuck gonna use it to snap a quick picture of some douchebag that can’t lose like a man. lol 
I don’t get mad when people pull the plug on me. I don’t give a crap about BP or any of that.
However, i really enjoy taking/posting pictures of rage quitters because it shows them that they can’t just erase a loss from their record. Even if someone pulls the plug and disconnects, it doesn’t change the fact that they lost the match. A picture is nothing more than a reminder of that.
Also, specs’ post is nothing but arguing the validity of a blacklist. This isn’t a blacklist.
Can we prove that they didn’t just lag out at an inconvenient time? Nope.
With that being said however, we can look at the circumstances of the screen shots and come to a informed conclusion that the many of these screenshots are legitimate ragequitters (and if you don’t understand the relevance of the term “ragequit”, then you haven’t been playing online games long… it has been around in FPS and RTS games for years.).
The discussion around whether or not Capcom/PSN/XBL should punish ragequitters has been debated up and down. That isn’t what this thread is about.
If someone wants to ragequit that is fine, and if someone wants to pull their cellphone out of their pocket and take a picture and stick it on a blog that’s fine too. Dishonorable people that can’t lose with dignity deserve to be exposed. If they have means to defend themselves then they have every right to do so. - Most of them have no defense.
I really think this is pointless, as what good are battle points anyways? The top spots are boosters , so its not like you will get #1 by being the best.
I quit careing about my rank as soon as I found out you can kick players and wait for your freinds, seems kinda dumb. I will play ranked once in a while so if someone quits fine by me , next.
I quit all the time but not at the last possible second , I will drop wiothin the frist round , if there is lag , I just quit, cant get mad about that. I also find quitters dont come until after 3000bp , thats when everyone’s like “O no I cat lose BP’s I got to quit”.
If the Bp system was made properly , it might be a different story for me. Aslong as you can boost who cares if someone quits , its gonna happen if capcom would have just made it so you lose points if you quit then this problem would not even exist.
So until capcom fixes that this is all pointless, just like it was playing ranked in HD remix before the patch. I tend to wait a bit to play ranked in most games just to see what bugs show up before I waste hours in ranked matches just for the boards to be reset.
i don’t understand “boosting” exactly.
If you had someone come in and lost to them intentionally, wouldn’t you lose too many BP to make a significant impact on that person winning anymore?
Someone explain this to me because i’m stumped.
Someone explained it once in another thread. It has something to do with the ‘loser’ DCing before the BP loss is calculated for him or somesuch so the winner still gets BP and the loser doesn’t lose any, if memory serves.

SF4 should have someone earn that title after 5 disconnects and force them to wear it as their title…perhaps a picture of a plug being pulled as the icon? Force them to only play other Ragequitters… One can only dream…
It still happen occasionally.
But the big thing here the “evidence” that people give of a DC. You can look at the DC/BG threads and see people posting up screenies of a DC where the other guy has a good amount of life left or it’s still the first round. Even cases where people are complaining about “ragequits” because someone left the lobby.
Something like this is fine for a centralized funny embarrassment site for the top BP whores, but I can still see specs’ point. This could easily wind up as some overly serious “don’t play these people” blacklist or the usual scrubs’ “lol I’m so good cuz xXxNarutoSniper420xXx ragequit on me” wankfest.

I haven’t seen those, but like I said, it’s pretty easy to tell whose connection dropped and who actually ragequit.
I suppose that there are a very small amount of coincidental connection drops at seemingly suspicious times, but it’s not that big of a deal. Like I said, it’s just a website full of funny pictures of people being poor sports.

Unless you have the super power of electrokinesis with some backup clairvoyance, you can’t do what you claim you can do any more than a dowser.
