just bought one at radio shack and it’s not working with my SFAC stick (yes, i know, not the best stick). i don’t have any other ps/ps2 controllers to try it with and so i can’t say whether it’s the adapter, the two computers i tested it on, or the stick.
tried both the built in drivers as well as the ones listed at the download link. neither are showing any button presses or joystick movement at all.
quite disappointed to say the least. anybody know any other relatively cheap way to get a decent usb joystick going? the cps3 stuff has me motivated.
The easiest way to fix lag and rapid fire issues on Playstation to USB adapters is to change the polling rate from the default 125 hz to atleast 250 hz or the full 1000 hz if your controller allows for it. Here’s the program needed to change it.
I just attempted to use my modified SFAC stick with the radioshack adapter the other day, do’h! My unit happens to be one of those with the PCB type that will not work.
I get zero controller input, perhaps i could swap the PCB out with a better one someday.

Also force feed back support means nothing if your PC game does not support it
