man i don’t know about you but the prospect of food that screams when you attempt to eat it sounds hilarious to me
like sup girl here’s a cake and it startles the hell out of her as she cuts into it
like a novelty gag but seventeen times more elaborate
if that seems tasteless to you then i would propose that it is you good sir who has no taste
Soooo…Ill go on ahead and take a dump on your front door step and call it art. So don’t get mad about it since its art, and thats A-o-K.
From what my black British cousin has told me, they’re far from racist.

They like chocolate cake.
Just cause your skin color is chocolate, doesn’t mean they are racist.
America blacks will cry about everything.
But the cake they’re eating doesn’t depict an “American Black” now does it? So why would they cry about it? if anyone is crying right now is guilty conscience whites feeling offended on behave of Blacks.
Besides, Its been proven on more than one occasion that our dicks are bigger than everyone elses anyway so who cares?

psh…i guess if you say so. I barely agree since carribean blacks are too good at everything, and handles business like they should. Racist no better than to come at them with that shit. LOLOL.
I want to agree with this. One of those things that could go either way.
Ignorant people are fun, huh?

If it wasn’t, this thread would be called “Cake Cutting in Sweden”.
This thread is crying and complaining. And which white person is feeling guilt? hahaha
If it was a white cake nobody would say anything.
And what makes you think that its the blacks that are the majority of the ones complaining about this in this thread if you can’t even decipher who’s really black or non-black?
Also for the record, This cake was made by a black person and this just so happens to be his art style. It’s protesting how bad female genital mutilation is in Africa…HINTS why it depicts an African black from Africa. Not America. LOL…learn the difference.
This is SRK. You can safely assume that everyone is black.

O Rly? Trust me there is always someone not of a certain kind crying crocodile tears for others. So screw that what you speak.

So there we go, it’s NOT racist.
Now let’s get the racist out of the thread title, before more Jesse Jackson wannabes run in here.
Nope! The only white threads we make on SRK are those to mock all the “black outrage” threads.
It was quite funny to read the reactions of Americans to this incident when they weren’t told about the context; the interpretation says far more about the values and assumptions of the interpreter than the person being interpreted.
The artist who created it was very upset and quite shocked by the simplistic interpretation of his work by people so desperate to hear themselves say the word “racist” that they didn’t take the time to think about the very serious issue that the cake was meant to represent. Now the actual message about female circumcision (a far more important issue for the average African woman) has been forgotten in the storm of left-wing self-righteousness and manufactured rage.
Perhaps he was naive.
He expected too much out of people.

It actually **is **supposed to be a black person… (In the above video, Phil DeFranco starts off by talking about it.)
It’s a cake made to bring awareness to genital mutilation in Africa…
So yeah. It’s racist as holy fuck.
That’s the issue with art. It’s subjective – and as an artist you have no control and honestly, no entitlement to an opinion of, people’s reactions to your art. You can sit and shake your head about it and make comments against people’s interpretations, but at the end of the day art is by definitely a subjective representation of an idea or concept and people looking at it will draw their own conclusions about you and your intentions.
Historically, a lot of great artists have gotten a lot of shit from people for their interpretations of important things and being called “racist” is least among the insults and persecution artists have received. It comes with the “Artist” job title and when you do something provocative, even with good intention, your only option is to accept the backlash that comes with it.
Putting a cake in black face and making it scream when its cut, then giving it to a bunch of white women who can’t help but be giddy and laugh as they cut into it isn’t really something you can expect to be responsible for causing and NOT get some negative backlash on – despite how positive your intentions might be.
At least people are talking about it? And as long as the full story gets out, the original point gets across – even if people decide to hate the artist as well.

Yes I hate threads like this. I Agree. But, in your case, Make a list of all the threads. If it surpasses 20: I understand.
If they dont: GTFO and STFU.
