I’m making Ryu’s s.LK whiff right now though. I even switched to Ryu and set the Dummy Mika to try it, all his fastest buttons whiff at max range. I’ll try Mika and Necalli to see if they have any consistent punishes.

The mic boost is different. It no longer resets from zero each time you use the mic.

Try charging it for 10 seconds, then just tap it again, then throw. You’ll still get a huge boost.

EDIT: It does NOT seem to combine the damage boost from each individual V-Skill usage. Seems like it just saves the boost from the longest mic performance you’ve used. If this is how it always worked I’ll feel kind of dumb.

St jab no longer combos into target combo. Though I think we all expected to see it go.

On the bright side, st mp, st lk > mp xx whatever is a real combo now, no longer randomly whiffs.

Ex shooting Peach nerf is pretty noticeable. >_<

I was able to do it on wakeup and blow up a cr.MK by a Ryu. So I dunno.

After t.HP, Mika can now do st.LK, st.MP, MP Peach… This is pretty fucking big. Not a true block string tho.

BUT, now you can do cr.LP, st.MP on counterhit after a blocked t.HP

S.lk after f.HP doesn’t work for me, recorded Ryu to MP srk after blocking and he blows it up free.

I seem to remember seeing a video of Combofiend getting someone in to a dizzy and doing j.HP,HPxxCritical Art. Am I mistaken, does that not work anymore, or am I just doing it wrong? I can do HpxxCritical Art just fine.

Ex shooting Peach loses to c.jab, c.jab lol. Was this really necessary? It was already throwable. Edit: Seems like it doesn’t have armor on the first frame anymore, meaties beat it free.

That should mean that fHP is +3 on block now. Is it possible to do fHP, get a CH with something and then still be in range to link some other normal after?

It beats Jab mashing from what I tested. I noted it wasn’t a true block string so therefore they can mash out. I wrote that before I tested that she can do cr.LP, st.MP and it connects (if cr.LP counter hits) after t.HP and that can’t be reversal’d either (I think).

Bad news dudes. Passion Press Nadeshiko combos got a damage nerf. :frowning:

j.HK, st.MP, Passion Press, Nadeshiko, Charged HK, EX Peach/EX AA Grab does at least 10% less damage now. In Beta 2 it did about 45% damage and now it’s closer 30-35%. RIP. :frowning: :frowning: :frowning: :frowning:

i dont mind nerfs in damage but removing tools suck. less fun to take things away.

Her tools remain. The buff to t.HP is very significant. She can still reset off of mid-screen Passion Press, only difference is that she has to toss them away (I.E. behind her) and then do t.MK for the reset.

The setup I discovered where you do the Passion Press reset and then after t.MK you do t.MP. T.MP is a FAT meaty and just stops them from mashing (aside from EX SRK and Supers) and it would leave her close enough to land LP Typhoon. In Beta 3, she’s not close enough after t.MP to land LP Typhoon but she can still do EX Typhoon. I assume that this is because of the t.MK range nerf.

The damage nerf off of Passion Press into Nadeshiko pisses me off. I get the reasoning but it still sucks.

With j.LK crossup, it feels like you have to hit LK sooner than you would in Beta 2 in order for it crossup and there might be a slight nerf to the width of the jump in.

You can do f.HP (blocked) s.MP (counter) step forward f.MP or f.MP (counter) target combo.

You can control the distance on f+MK, was it always like that? Mika only moves forward for as long as you’re holding f.

The EX Peach nerf is the only one that’s really throwing me off. I used that move as a get out of jail free card waaay too much previously.

j.LK doesn’t seem nerfed at all, at least in terms of frame data. Easy to link a s.MP after it.

Yep. It was pretty sweet. It still kinda’ does that. Just the range on t.MK got nerfed.

Just block on wakeup dude.

V-Skill nerf is annoying, especially since you still lose the buff on whiff and if you get hit. Don’t see why it had to be changed on top of all the rest of her damage nerfs.

Honestly, I don’t even use V-Skill. It’s going to be a tool you use against dudes who are very committed to keepaway. I just go the fuck in.

Her s.MK seems more unsafe on block.

Confirmed that you can do a Sweep that CC’s and combo into Nadeshiko. But, you have to cancel from the Sweep. You can’t do it and then call her. Wasn’t able to do anything off of the Nadeshiko OTG so I don’t think it’s worth that much right now.

Edit: just a double check. I checked Beta 2 (Infinite Beta) to definitely make sure but t.HP has less pushback on block as of the latest stress test in addition to it having more +frame on block.
