R.Mika Reset Machine v2.0

Last 4 setups are quick rise only. EX WA makes it crossup and normal WA makes it not crossup.

They can get out of it by forward jumping (Not gief or Birdie) but that typically wont be anyones first choice unless they know to do it.

I expect the Mika unblockable stuff to get patched out honestly. It’s pretty dumb nor is it something you should want for your character. Especially considering how easy it is to land in so many situations.

Yeah it’s never completely inescapable but we saw how they wanted to remove it in sf4 and this really isn’t any different. Risk/reward is skewed. I’d like to see Mika pick up some minor buffs in a few areas but this needs to be taken care of if we’re going to get to that.

Setup is corner f.MP~MP, f.HP xx delayed b.VT, cr.MP for a front/cross-under mixup. Seems like your typical corner 50/50 at first glance but the neat thing about this setup is that if your opponent does an invincible reversal against the 50/50, Nadeshiko will actually hit your opponent after the invincibility frames of the reversal run out, allowing you a follow-up f.HP into EX Shooting Peach/Wingless Airplane or another cr.MP reset into a front/cross-under 50/50.

Yup. So I’ve been looking at s.mp,s.mp,ca (all links) and it works. Usually. No problem from the corner (due to the above “bug”), but at mid-screen, sometimes it’ll whiff. Not sure if I’m copping a tiny amount of walk-back from the ca motion or not.

Anyway, I don’t remember her ca being that well ranged - am I deluded?

Did some more testing with Fuudo’s anti-reversal setup.

It works against Ryu MP SRK, Chun-LI EX SBK, Ken LP, MP, and EX SRK, Cammy LK, MK, and HK Cannon Strike, Necalli LP Raging Light. It does not work against Ryu EX SRK, Rashid EX Spinning Mixer, Karin EX Ressenha, Ken HP SRK, Cammy EX Cannon Strike, Necalli EX Raging Light and MP Raging Light, Against Rashid EX Spinning Mixer, Karin EX Ressenha, and Cammy Cannon Strike, Mika should cancel into n.VT instead of b.VT.

It’s apparently know since beta, but I haven’s seen it posted in this thread so here it goes: when air reset, there’s a landing frame where the opponent is in crouching state. Timing a normal throw correctly will land the crouch version.
Not really useful since better options are available from air reset though.

Good stuff. I wouldn’t discount the utility of crouch throw. Damage and stun are good (140/200) and you recover quickly enough to punish jumps with cr.MP or EX Wingless Airplane. It’s a fairly safe option that’s very effective if you’ve conditioned your opponent to only jump or block after your reset.

Fuudo had the anti dp corner setup in daigo’s stream

for some of the dp’s that that setup doesn’t work against (i.e. cammy, karin) you can use this.

Instant Overhead Mixup

Only works against M.Bison, Vega, Birdie, Zangief and Fang. The instant overhead cannot be jumped, crouched, jabbed and only some supers work against it. If the opponent doesn't quick rise you can react to it and hold VT so it hits after slow rise.
