He has definitely been taken from us too soon. I love his music so much, and now to think that he’s done. Puts a damper on my day. Usually when my day is dampened, I’ll listen to some Nujabes to make it all better… but now I don’t know what to do.

I’ll probably just listen to Nujabes anyway. It’s what he would have preferred.

He was an artist I admired with every inch of my fiber, every crick and span of my bones. He changed my view of hip-hop, of music, as a constantly evolving force. A specter of beauty needing no other reason to exist, always there, residing in our minds and waiting to be tapped into.

Nujabes’ music was, and continues to be, a string of lights in my life.

this dude was the severe truth and actually helped me fall in love with hiphop again. beats with real melodies… learn from this giant, producers, mc’s, breakers, dj’s, graf artists, be colorful and use your talents to inspire others. and that for those in all walks of life. RIP Nujabes.

Accident happened in Tokyo, the same day there was an earthquake in Okinawa/Ryukyu islands (way south of Tokyo). Unrelated coincidence.

Damn, Nujabes was one of my favorite artists of all time… I’ll miss the dude. I’ll be listening to his music for the rest of the week probably… his stuff always cheered me up or helped me mellow out. It’ll be hard listening to it today thinking “damn, he’s gone now”… but I’ma do it to honor him.

I wonder if he knows just how many people his music touched across the world?
