I saw Debbie Reynolds do a chat about Singing in the Rain and she mentioned Leslie. Apparently he was very serious and did not want to do any sort of comedy when he first started. hehehe, life is awesome.
Makes me want to go back and watch some of his serious stuff since I have never seen it. He was in so many great movies, there will never be a better Dracula.

Really? I thought that Mel Brooks Dracula movie was pretty boring and rather dull.
Still though, Naked Gun trilogy and Airplane owned.

man, he was a legend of comedy, which was odd considering he was originally a legitimate serious actor.
I’m gonna have to screen a marathon, starting with Police Squad, moving on up to the Naked Guns, then throw in his mediocre other comedies, then finish off with Airplane.
I tried to see him twice in the last 2 years for autographs, but he was sick each time 
Aw, I just heard about this on the news. This is so lame.

Not really sure why people are surprised that someone who is 84 died.
I’ve never liked any of his movies, either.
But still, he inspired a lot of comedians and actors I like. So RIP.
RIP Mr. Nielsen… I still think of Leslie Neilsen every time I hear Liam Neeson’s name mentioned.
It’s not like anyone is surprised, it just sucks to hear it happen.
I mean, it was coming, but sucks to hear regardless.

used to think he was funny as hell. dude was old 250 years ago, but still rip.
This man helped to shape my sense of humour whilst I was still growing up. Airplane and The Naked Gun films were just full of awesome and funny.
I hope that he fulfilled most of the things he had wanted to do in his long life. He can take it a bit easy now up there.

I grew up watching his movies, particularly his Naked Gun films, his deadpan delivery to the most absurd of situations always had me rolling. Even in those sickeningly bad “parody” movies he’s always the highlight.
I also liked that he’s sported that grey hair (aka “The Matlock”) for over half his life.

I thought he was a robot, he looked like a new model in every shot
