Hey,
I’m getting the SCV Mad Catz stick for xmas, tis my first stick and I’m really looking forward to it! Although my opinion might change when I have the actual stick in my hands on xmas day, pictures on the internet suggest I dislike the art work. As I’m already thinking about some changes etc (haven’t even got the stick yet and I might already have the modding bug…) I’m not sure what artwork I WILL want. So I’m thinking in the mean time just remove the existing art work!
So my question is - what is under the art work? Metal Plate? Plastic Plate? Colour? See Through?
Thanks in advance!
under the artwork is a metal plate.
There is several ways to install new art work
- Adhesive laminated paper art or adhesive printed vinyl art
- heavy paper/light card stock under plexyglass
- Paint the metal, would require sanding, primer, multiple base coats, any design art (hand, airbrush, hydrographic printing, ect) followed by clear top coat.
Number 2 is the most preferred method among modders here.
Most people go to Art Hobbies to get a Plexy overlay and art printed.

Hey, thanks for the quick reply!
I was thinking when I do replace the artwork, I would go with option 2, depending how easily I can get the plexiglass cover in the UK. But in the mean time I will probably just strip it down to the metal plate.
