Quake on the East Coast

I was at work in GS when this occured. I was the first person to notice it while everyone else was just going about talking.

low rumbling
Me:…watches my manager and the customer she’s with to see if there’s any reaction to make sure I’m not tripping for a second uhh…guys…you guys feel that?
low rumbling starts to grow in intensity and still nobody is noticing this shit
Me:…NO…SERIOUSLY GUYS…WHAT IS THAT!?
store is shaking and rattling for at least a good 45 seconds

Shit was weird as hell. My whole body felt weird for like an hour or so afterward.

Didn’t feel it though my manager in the same room as me said she did. I saw a purse on a table move an inch.

dat’s your spidey-sense tingling.

I was in my home when this quake thing went off. I live in New York but i didnt feel a thing. Somebody in my building said they did though.

I’ve never felt a tremor in my life because I’m always sleeping when it hits, and this one is the same.

Not even TM26 can wake me up, I need a Pokeflute.

Lol yo some people are so creative…lol i like this. BTW 100 post :wgrin:

Felt it here in south Jersey. East coast ppl hyping the earthquake so much cuz we ain’t used to it haha.

First felt the quake when my elbow started shaking a bit while it was resting on my desk. Thought it was muscle spasm. Then the desk started shaking too and I thought somehow the spasm was transferring force to the desk. Seconds later I had my arm off the desk and it was still swaying like a mofo. Then I was like, oh damn earthquake LOL.

Pretty funny a lot people assume a few other causes of the land shaking around here before an earthquake, even though it’s the most likely explanation.

damn i just felt one here on the west coast in the bay area. it wasent that bad as your guy’s though

That shit wasn’t bad AT ALL in the NYC. It was literally like a friggin tiny vibration. People making it out to be more than what it was exaggerating. At least in the NYC, that was the tiniest shake i have ever felt. Fucking vibrating controllers were more of a shake at least in the NYC. I can’t speak for other places, ESPECIALLY Virginia.

My grandma (Brooklyn) said she was on the phone when it happened and her futon slid across the wood floor… I dunno.

QUAKE WIT FEAR!!!

it depends in what type of building or how high you are in said building…to really feel it.
i’m on the 13th floor in a PJ.
thats projects for those who don’t know… and this bitch swayed like a palm tree…no exaggeration.
if it ain’t so bad being this high up, near the very top, therefore.,where it will sway the most…whats worst is that …as everyone knows, these PJs are rickety as hell.
it thought the building was gonna collapse.

i need to move to where you live Negative-Zero. somewhere more safe and less rickety. and less roach & crackhead infested…lol.

I was on a 6 floor building watching survivorman at the time. For me, it was enough to feel it, but not enough for me to be worried at all. Not the type to go into worse case scenario at a moments notice. I don’t know if the build quality of buildings by east 19 and beverly is better than where you live.

boooooooo

I slept through it… that good ass massage I thought I was getting in my dreams was an earthquake lol…

Next on 6:00 news, hurricane to strike the east coast…

Is it wrong that the first thing I thought when seeing the thread title, was the Quake video game series? East Coast reppin’ it I suppose.

Facebook told me that my friends are talking about Quake and linked me to the game, but I looked and all the posts were about the earthquake.

I miss playing Quake on the Dreamcast.

I bet TM27 would wake your ass up right quick…
