Just placed an order for the HAPP box. I’ll see how I like the 8 button layout while I wait for the HAPP plexis to roll out. That way, I can figure out if I need 8 buttons or can live with 6.

Once you get an 8 button plexi, I’ll be turning my money over to you. Hope its soon, I need to find a way to use this axisadapter, its been sitting here for a couple of months.
Quick question though, is there any room to play with the position of the buttons on the back? I was looking for a layout similar to 4lefty’s Zelda stick, two buttons where the TE stick has start and select, one on the other side for the home button, and one in the middle for a neutrik.

I like the look though it’s freaky.
Most building supply stores have MDF for pretty cheap. A 1/2 inch 4x8 sheet will cost you around 30 where I’m from. You can also find 4x4 sheets for maybe a bit less, or if you go into the back there will be some scrap pieces. I know I’ve given away a bunch of cut pieces even though I’m not supposed to ._. The quality is already usually decent, and if you’re sanding and painting after it’s usually not a big deal if they aren’t perfect.

yeah they have boards and stuff at the local home depot, but im trying to find somewhere that i can order a block of mdf from so i can route it out and have one solid piece as a case.
That’s not how these are made, and that’s certainly not the easiest way to do it.
I’m aware of that. I have a few sticks already, just want to experiment and make a few more. Which is one of the reasons i ordered a case from you guys. It’s going to be a test so to say for painting using digitals method. Then once i get a solid block (a few of them) and route it out, im going to paint it the same way and see how i like it. If i dont like anything about it i’ll figure out what i’ll do for my next case. Just a hobby to pass time.

Local Home Center, I use 3 sheets of 1/4" MDF and unfortunately, they don’t sell those in 4x8 sheets, only 2x4 sheets so it costs me more =.

Plexibottom might be an option, but I don’t know if you’d like it. The inside work isn’t anything beautiful to look at. That’s why I don’t care about the inside when I make my sticks.

I think “hello im a panda” made a stick similar to this. I would advise against this since all that routing would create a lot of dust. Especially with MDF, it’s not so good for your health.

Interesting. Well in that case I have no idea if they even sell MDF in chunks that big.
I’ve only ever seen 1 inch thickness, I have heard of 1.5 and 2, but I’d guess they would be extremely expensive. I suppose you could glue two together, but I don’t think that would work very well.
