Oni is a playable character? he’s Z-tier?!
Where have you been. This was all over the news last week. (Unless you’re just trollin.) Oni and Evil Ryu are locked again though. They weren’t supposed to be out in arcades, some are saying, till May or thereabouts. But no, Oni or E.Ryu aren’t Z-tier whatever that means haha. They’re viable but not OP.
Well, I’m kinda over SSF4 since all the changes from AE got announced so I only pop in from time to time to check on a release date–so yeah, I missed the news, but you kindly informed me, arigato.
2 more shotos seems a bit silly as well, are they equal with there regular counterparts? Like why am I going to play Ryu when I can play as Evil Ryu? hmm…and there’s no Psycho Ken!!! Screw Capcom and the love for the lone warrior:mad:
EDIT: just seem E.Ryu and Oni on youtube, I truly don’t get it, both character look the same, there’s like 3 different version of akuma now but whatever. Oni doesn’t look too different but E.ryu seems like he has tools for pretty much everything with low health. Speed and dashes look sick and does he have a command OH that combos from a c.mk?
I’d say that top tier list needs to be adjusted.
Yeah, but that overhead kick isn’t a true overhead unless it’s done EX. E.Ryu’s crouch forward looks like Third Strike crouch forward and is slower. His tatsu’s don’t armor break but you can link fierce shoryuken like Akuma off short tatsu, but I don’t think you can link crouch roundhouse aftwards. His EX fireball doesn’t knockdown, so it’s possible to do EX fireball FADC U2 which is some Shoryureppa looking sort of thing with an awesome ender. He does have a shakunestu red fireball which does knockdown though. He doesn’t have all the Ryu links. But he does have dp FADC u1, u1 being like denjin hadoken which can be charged. His teleport doesn’t go as far as Akuma’s. He only has down medium kick thing like akuma, but no demon flips. His super is a raging demon. So yeah, he’s like a mix between Ryu and Akuma.
Oni is kind of weird to me… command air dashes, cross-up that doesn’t leave the ground. I like Evil Ryu moar. I agree with you though, this game didn’t need two moar shotos, whatever.
I see, arigato my friend…not Z tier lol, but still looks pretty beastly. I wouldn’t mind picking him up instead of Ryu that’s for sure, those dashes are too awesome.

I don’t think Sim’s is that slow, but yes…
No Dhalsim’s recovery is way faster than Seth.
you can still buffer one and get it if a Sim spams it, but good sims won’t lol.
