And finally, this is a Blanka video that I would like to have dissected by some of the more advanced members of the community. I know that I messed up when I blocked his ultra by crouching too early. There HAS to be a better punish for random blanka balls being thrown out in round 3. I know our go-to punish but I was having severe difficulties getting it to work right. Last but not least, I got roflbaited to use my ultra.

Generally against blanka i find its a really tough fight but when hes sitting on EX u know hes itching to use his EX ball to get through fireball’s and i didnt really see u use any at all against him. what i do is i bait the ex blanka ball’s by stocking a fireball throw out a light jab or medium see what he does if nothing i ll release best case he jst used an ex to hit nothing and i blocked it
Also i dont think its really possible at all to safe jump him u jst need to zone him out with fireball’s and when he gets to close (as in he can punish them with a blank ball) start using normals to push him back
i find this match is more about positioning and zoning as we really cant mix up against him with his imba up ball crap

I’d like to break this down and find reasoning for theses moves…
:20 - nice anti air. Probably a better choice than the j.mp.
:26 - was he going for the pinwheel and got a whiffed lk? Or did he just want space. Same at :30
:32 - This is a common question. Did he react to that? Or was he gonig for that anyway? If so…godbless him.
:45 - I suggest this combo. Most people forget that sc.lk is 3 frames, not 4 like c.lk
:58: - Why did he not move forward on the j.mp? Am I missing something?
1:09 - we see again him using the nj.mk. Noted.
Whole second round - This is a problem with every character. Ibuki vortex is evil…
1:57 - C.mk as a trip guard exploit…not bad. I can fuck with that.
2:38 - this is the second time he has failed an anti-air vs Ibuki. this is a common problem with me. Any thoughts?
2:45 - Why the high fireball? Anticipating a jump? I try and do this with mk fuhajin but I usually fail. Thoughts?
2:50 - Only dive kick of the match so far and it was the most unsafe one…why there? why do you think he used it?
This is essentially the downfall of juri. Once some one gets in with mix up shes a sitting duck. She must block or ex counter out of there. Pinwheel is not an option most of the time.
Well, I’m by no means advanced, but I’ll try to give a few pointers that would’ve won that match.
First, blanka balls, you noticed that the dash>pinwheel punish takes a bit of practice (I can’t do it consistently either). I would avoid trying to counter hit the balls, because a hit from 1 CH ball is worse than all the chip from blocked balls that round. Better to take the chip.
For EX Balls, the loss of the meter is big enough punish for him. Normal balls, throw some fireballs. Just don’t be predictable, or he can guess a slide or ex ball.
I would also make sure I punish his stuff properly. rainbow ball -> focus dash cancel into combo. blocked slide, do cr.mk xx pinwheel. Anti airs, you gave him a few free jumps. And no jumping 
The opportunity didn’t really arise much here, but if you get a knockdown, abuse cr.mk meaty (just watch for wakeup ultra), he has to burn EX to get away from it. Try to corner him, you can punish his balls in the corner even if they hit.
Also, like you noticed, only ultra the ex balls, or you’ll get baited. I learned that the hard way too 
That’s how I saw what she was doing, colored by my own match mentalities. I think people are still underappreciating block+ost.

I never thought of using kara cancels for specials like that. Doing that with Fuhajin release (and maybe the store as well) could work well for footsies. I’m more skeptical about the usefulness of kara focus, but maybe we could find a use for it.
This is really interesting. Kara Fuhajins could be really useful, and Kara Focus could be used for a nice max range crumple.

Wow, I never thought to check to see is she could kara into release, and especially never thought to check focus attack.
The only use for focus attack is to increase the range on the focus attack slightly. If the hitbox didn’t move her hitbox back so far it could be used to move into attacks, but I doubt that would work here. Maybe if you only plan to dash cancel after absorbing damage though.
Definitely reacted on the cr.hp anti-air, I’ve been practicing that to shut down neutral jumpers, too many people like to abuse that. Takes a bit of practice to react online though, so nice reaction in the vid. You need to choose between far s.mk, cr.mp and cr.hp to avoid trades though.
As for the j.mp, I think it was just the corner + ibukis displacement box preventing her from moving forward.

*Good stuff, I mentioned her being able to Kara store and release a little while back but no one ever took time to test some practical uses. Like you said in the video for some reason HK release is easier to kara than LK release. Also worth noting that when I originally tested karastore/release in blockstrings it doesn’t leave you at a closer distance.
