Those were painful to watch. lol
Jumping in on Honda is just bad especially when he’s just sitting back on a charge. Though it is frustrating when he sits on charge with the life lead because Juri has limited options getting in on him. The match up is more about starting your zoning and getting an early life lead and forcing Honda to come to you but the beginning of the match didn’t work out so well so it just snowballed from there.
I’ve fought like under 10 Fei-Longs and it’s hard to figure out the match up on an obscure character. In my opinion, I feel Fei-Long is a character who can get away with a few things because they are safe and are that good on top of him being such an obscure character that most people don’t know how to fight him. His neutral jump RH is good and then hit confirm Rekka’s or use them as pokes because that shit is safe on block and he can frame trap with them as well.
I think Kuraudokin might need to watch Shind’s Honda match-up tutorial lol.
As for Fei Long, well, the infinite’s gone, so that helps a lot. I’m certainly no pro, but what I tend to do is use normals like far st.mk and mp to stop him from advancing with Rekkas. I don’t really know how to zone Fei well though with fireballs though, it seems Chicken Wing easily bypasses that. If he gets you in the corner, well…
Juri’s divekick most definetely crosses up. It also hits from the front and then lands on other side sometimes. Thats the problem you gotta to execute it perfectly. Imo its probably not worth it as it hits too high and if you mess it up you could be punished hard. Capcom put toooo much recovery on her dive kick.The only thing I’ve found that could follow it up was ex wheel kick.
One set up I tried in training(using a program pad) was off of a back throw. If done perfectly the opponent cannot block standing or crouching while blocking the “normal way”. The only options they had was to dash, or use one of their special moves to get the F outta dodge,including Ultras(they would whiff except 1 or 2). Whatever they did on wakeup could not hurt Juri unless they blocked the correct way and then punish.
The only exception to that was Ryu and maybe Gief. Ryu could jump out of it but only backwards. If he did ex hurricane kick it would hit Juri with the very last hit only. If he canceled the jump with ex Hurricane kick, then he hit her with the whole move. I think he could os a Dp too but I dont know if I was doing it right. It would block so maybe I was.
Every one else couldnt do anything but try to evade. I was using mk dive kick to cross up, If I chose to use a lk divekick instead but use the same timing as before, it would beat everything they could use to evade except wake up ultra.
The charcaters that Juri used the exact same timing on their wake up was:

I didnt bother checking what kind of timing the rest of the cast needs as like I said the timing has to be perfect so I didnt think it was worth it to learn it. Too soon and you get blocked and to late you whiff. Both will cause you to be severely punished.
Anyways If you want to practice set your dummy to block downforward the whole ten seconds. Back throw him, perform an extremely slightly delayed(almost nothing) forward jump, then you gotta time your dive kick for the right angle so that it hits him at the right time on wake -up. If your dummy blocked you, it means you did it right. If not it means if this were a real match, your about to suffer

i can relate to you on fei long, i finally found a good fei player locally, he gets on my dam nerves, fei has such a fast overhead, random rekka poke is annoying, chicken wing scares me from using juri’s best tool, projectile zoning. st.mk is really good in the match up, as well as c.hp(kinda situational) but just getting 1 or 2 pokes isnt good enough, i need DAMAGE, lol.
Those are the exact problems I’m having with Fei. I know cr.mk can make Chicken Wing whiff, but the Feis I fight throw it out rarely or if they’re countering a fireballl and I never spot it in time so I just end up blocking. Then he’s in your face and you have to shake him off.

I usually choke against Chun Li’s but recently after watching sh1nd’s vids I find I can zone a bit better and use my fireballs alot easier nowadays. I recently ran into a decent Chun Li and I recorded the match. Its my first Chun Li win in a while, and on my birthday even.

Ohh…I like the high fireball hit dash in Short Pinwheel combo.
He was definitely playing the match up right but needs to know the spacing game a little bit more. I tend to play more footsies with Gief and throw fireballs sparingly. Definitely good idea to make Gief run through the gauntlet of fireballs but once Gief has EX he needed to be more careful with his store/releases. A lot of moments where Gief could have just straight up EX Green Hand a few of those store/releases. This is why I would consider this match up in Juri’s favor for the most part. It’s very hard for Gief to get in on Juri in general if you zone and poke at him.
