I dunno, that last vid seemed like the T-Hawk did a lot more work than mktn. There were a lot of mistakes on his point, he just capitalised on a bunch of mistakes and zoned well.

I have recorded 2 sessions for critics. A very short one vs a Dhalsim. I rarely fight him and this player is decent. I’m not sure how to handle Dhalsim, I tried to not stupidly rush and jump on him.

Watching them during recording made me realise I should have done more chip to finish some rounds (the last match, man). I also remember now the cl.HP to counter teleports
The other sessions is against a decent Adon, which I rarely fight too. I have so much trouble against his jabs pressure and neutral jumpins.

Heya Boita. I definitely think that on the offense, you’re in really great shape right now. I think zoning Adon harder is better than going toe to toe with him, but when you did, it went well. You also did a good job at being just outside of the range of his jaguar kicks, and didn’t manage to get cornered too much doing it. You handle the Dhalsim match well, until you got knocked down.
Defensively, and its easy to do with Juri, you crumble. Once you get knocked down, even by Sim, you sorta lose your head a bit. You need to get more comfortable with being pressured I think. Don’t even know if you teched many throws. I can have the same problem as Juri to be honest. FSE and all, I have an easier time making comebacks with Cody, Sagat, Ryu than I do Juri.
Hell, SSJCell had a nice almost 30 game set (think it ended like 14-11) and I mentioned having the same problems with her after, because he is amazing at turning the match around. Had him almost perfected three or four times and it ended with a close win or a depressing loss on my end lol.
I also think you need to take a risk at some point. After 4 or 5 knockdowns, you gotta try something to say step off. You’d have the round won on a chip with the meter to FADC if needed and you didn’t go for it. At some point you have to go for it.
You need to be careful on your buttons on the defensive too. I saw a st. MP come out during pressure. Not sure if that was an accident or a focus absorb fail.
We haven’t played in a while. So let’s do matches soon.
And yes, punish harder. Could have done so much better than cr. MK xx HK pinwheel.
against adon:
cr.hp works best against his j. kick.
all adons love to jump, be concious to use j. mp juggles whenever you can, which will be often.
backflip away his nuetral jumps when you can.
or use lp counter.
all adons hate to attempt their normal anti-airs, but you can’t jump into him from a distance coz of his r.jaguar. but cross ups work like a charm against him.
use u2.

against dhalim:
make him come to you. don’t go to him.
fuhajin store and d nothing but fuhajin store.
just keep storing fuhajin one after another.

1-it always catches his pokes like a dp.
2-it’ll cancel his fireballs anyway. timed right of course.
i play against comboless clown like every other day. he’s a great dhalsim. A rating, 15,000bp dhalsim. i’ve never ever beaten him, but i at least take it to a third round.
but it took a long time for me to figure out that dhalsim’s “trick” is to make you advance. don’t.
just keep fuhajin storing non stop till he gets frustrated and goes to you.
thats when he’s weak. when he changes his normal strategy of keep away & tries to pressure you by advancing on you.
if he tries to ultra 1 then teleport behind you…
auto correct a ultra 2 kaisen.
so when you see his teleport begin, auto correct the U2 joystick motion to where he WILL reappear. so by the time he reappears behind you, your kaisen animations should be active. timing is key. not easy.
except for the part where it’s a 50/50 mix up and he doesn’t have to teleport behind you. have fun doing a random full screen ex pinwheel or ultra.
well, for the most part when they teleport after they launch an ultra 1, they do teleport directly behind. yeah i know, they can teleport bait…but its just a last resort trick. thats all. won’t work after a couple times of them seeing it.

I’m starting to get back into AE again. I don’t like where I am with Juri. These vids are a little old(still ver.2012). I picked them because I think they show where I am with the character currently. I don’t really feel like I’m in control of the match and my wins come more from the opponent not knowing Juri rather than me playing well.

Nice way to bring it all the way back. I was like WTF when you stuffed roses EX souls spire with Stand WK and crouch MK. is the timing on it really tight or does it just have to be meaty?.

They clearly have to be pretty bad to do this but sometimes I’ll do cr.mk on Rose and Ryu’s wake up. If they choose to super you’ll go under and stuff it. I’ve been thinking of testing some cr.mk stuff vs reversals but haven’t gotten around to it. From far enough away I’ve done it to Adon’s RJ too. Kinda tricky to be right where you’ll be too far away and low enough to dodge the RJ hit box but close enough to bait it out. If they don’t do it you’re obviously pretty safe. He MIGHT be able to attack and catch your leg retreating but I don’t think he can.
The timing to stuff EX soul spire with st.lk is really fucking tight, it has to be a meaty and you are working with 3 active frames (as opposed to the standard 6 frames of cr.mp). cr.mk Is a good counter to most things that hit high, Guile’s backhand for example – problem is you have to predict it, and as with Rose, even if you do she’s invincible anyways lol…
