Wasnt as bad as I thought it would be. Could have been way worse. First thing you need is some fundamental training. Defense!! Learning how to crouch tech especially cuz this akuma just kept on grabbing you. You were very committed to reversals. Stop that, please. You barely threw out any fireballs. That’s where Juri truly shines. Fireballs give you very easy to do frame traps and the store is only -1 on block so you wont be punished by anything.

I saw no light attacks like ever. Light attacks give you frame advantage and allow you to frame trap much easier. St.lk eing her best light attack you should try using it more along with her other light buttons. The anti-air cr.jab made me lol. Anti airs are cr.mp, cr.hp, and far mk. They are the most helpful ones. Cr.hp helps alot more against Akumas demon flip bullshit. But also going air to air agaisnt demon flip is a good strategy.

If you’ve done her trials try to emulate a lot of those for now. Learn how to cr.tech and you’ll see massive improvements in your game. Also eiSH’s tutorial on YouTube is a god given source for Juri play. When you’re fundamentals have improved look up Genki’s safe jump video. You’ll understand the game a lot more.

Also lol at the sound and I think you’re becoming a better addition to the Juri forum. You were awful before. Just for the love of christ don’t give advice. Ask questions and learn. Show more videos please. When you understand what you are doing then give advice.

i done fucked up in the 3rd round.
i thought gouken was gonna do his dive kick, but the gouken player pulled out an ace by quickly reacting and doing a spin kick.

I’m just gonna focus in the negative seeing as u won the match so obviously u did enough…

First when akuma does a demon flip on wake up don’t counter, there’s a good chance u will eat a palm and be put in the same situation, block or if u see it coming and can react do a neutral jump and slightly delay the hk, if u time it right his dive kick should whiff along with palm and the neutral jump hk should reset him

When u did the close standing hp follow with store or lk pin, doesn’t hurt to buffer cus at worst ur blocking
Same with the cr mk u hit, buffer Dat pinwheel

When u did the jump in lk u should go for the tic throw at least once instead of a block string, u have to learn ur opponent and make them respect u

When he did the demon flip and u jumped backwards into the corner u should have done a hk during, it would have punished the slide giving u the chance for a max combo (that’s something that comes with experience) u did it the second time but he was able to block it

When u connected with the jump in mp u should have did close standing hp into the ex pin just to guarantee it will hit with the level he was at in the air

When u do the store don’t always let it go instantly, remind ur opponent that u can hold them and see if there paying attention by holding a charge for a while, u wouldn’t have been punished if u would have held it

When u jump in and akuma teleports a lot use the OS dive kick, empty jump in the jump and do hk or mk dive kick, if he teleports back it will hit him for full kicks

If u have to jump in when he isn’t knocked down and he anti airs u more than twice try using ex dive kick to change ur landing time and to beat his cr hp

When u did the ex counter and connected with the neutral jump hk u should cr mp to hk/ex pin, if ur close enough after the neutral hk use cr hp to pin for max damage…hope this helps

That anti air sweep was risky as fuck don’t do that shit

Ur not in FSE so close standing hk is just as bad as that anti air sweep, DON’T DO IT

Close standing mp doesn’t combo into cr mk just hk pin after mp connects

U jump way too much and u were always close enough for gouken to tatsu u on ur way down

Those consecutive lk pins were lol be careful cus that won’t always work

On his wakeup do a few empty jumps just incase he does counter, give u a free max damage combo

When he did the neutral jump next to u close standing hk would have hit him and traded at worst

Finish those close standing mk with hk pin, buffer Dat pin

Hk fireball is better for reaction just throwing it out there can only put u in a negative situation unless there in the air

Wake up super would have worked but know the matchup, it should have been in ur head that he might tatsu to get away and it cost u the fight…

i have one question though about crouching tech throws…
see…i have a 10 button stick right …8 butons plus the start & select buttons. but the one on the button farthest left second row doesn’t work…so…i essentially have 7 button stick.
so, i assigned the button config like this.
throw jab strong fierce
blank short forward roundhouse
so when i’m holding down short, i can’t throw according to my muscle memory coz i assigned throw to the top left button which is sorta hard to reach while holding lk.

so, if i just negate that button and just hit lp while holding down lk…will that beome op tech throw…or what?
i noticed if i hit the throw button while crouching it OPs into crouching lk. but thats when my opponent isn’t tryin to throw me. so i guess i’m asking if hitting lp while holding lk fuhajin charge will op into technical

i know i know, i screwed up my own muscle memory tryin to map out throw as a button with juri. but i hadn’t pondered how it would entangle me with teching and lk fuh. hold.

No. Can’t tech while you have a lk.Fuhajin stored; use close s.mk or close s.hp to beat throws. Also, button mapping is illegal in tournaments.

close standing mk negates throws? i knew it negates command grabs…but i didn’t know it also negates throws.

Technicality: Its not throw invincible, its airborne, which means you can’t be thrown (throw invincibility is different).
