Seeing as we haven’t done this in awhile and i believe there’s some interest in it, I decided i might as well try to get this running! I’ll leave this post up/bump it for a week to see how many people sign up and assuming there’s enough I’ll make the brackets via Challonge. Just post in the following format.

Yeah, so did I =P. Cody didn’t exactly work out because of the lack thereof a reversal, and Adon ended up being my secondary. Also Dan is really the only character that I 100% enjoy playing. Switching characters for a bit did help my execution quite a bit though!

I’d sign up, but I guess that lag would be too much considering Im living in Sweden. Maybe go for a european tournament with the winner of each tournament facing off to win the title of Saikyo Dantastic Champion of the World?

I don’t know what the hell is the problem but I can never and I mean NEVER join a match when I get an invite :mad:

I played Ashkente and a few others for an hour or so last night and it was fun, I’ve been playing way too much Adon. I need some Saikyo love, we need to get this going.

Also, due to the above issues with me joining matches, if you see me on and want to go a few rounds send me a message and I’ll respond with an invite.

Yeah, my router is garbage. Opening ports never seems to do anything so I’m at a loss in terms of connection issues. Not too many people seemed to sign up for the tournement so maybe we can just have weekly PSN Dan sparing sessions or something similar.

The moral of the story? My router sucks/doesn’t work. Obviously not the place for it, but I can’t connect to certain people on PSN. Is there something known to cause this or should I be more specific?

We might be the worst two to try and connect… I have issues myself. BUT I just realized this is the same hardware I had when we played in vanilla. Hmmm, I’m thinking it has to either be SSF4 specific or some software setting, I’ve moved since then and have my security settings much different. What ports are relevant to the PSN?

Fun it was, indeed, since I never get to play any more… )(%&$(*&% work schedule/life/etc. AND I LIVE IN SOCAL NOW AND CAN’T GET TO ANY OF THE 'CADES WHEN SHIT IS GOING DOWN… /sulk.

I’ll probably be lurking on PSN on thursday, possibly drunk (as it’ll be my bday), but I’m hoping tomorrow I can get my ass to the other side of L.A. for some actual arcade action.

I’m using MAC address filtering as my sole means of security whereas I used to use WEP. Wonder if that might be an issue… Shit, I got out of the computer bizz 6 years ago for a reason.

Found this:

PS3 Street Fighter IV requires you to forward the 5223,3478,3479,3658 ports.

And this:

These are the ports you should forwrd:

TCP & UDP 80
UDP 88
UDP & TCP 3074
UDP & TCP 53
TCP 443

Going to give it a shot later today…

Well lucky enough for me if i attempt to open all the ports separately on my router, all of them will remain closed. And i already tried just opening every port on the PS3 at once, and that didn’t work either. bleh.

Sounds like you have another router on your network, or a modem with built-in router functionality. I have the same problem.
