That isn’t how it works. The actual HD TV post image processor does not care what the image is.
It does not matter if the image is 2 giant pixelated letters and a white rectangle, a Fighting game or a playing of Star Wars or even completely blank.
The display still draws every line and every pixel of that whole screen, on a 4K Ultra HD display that is 8.29 million pixles, and the hardware it self does not care where in the Rec. 2020 (UHDTV) color space that particular pixle happen to be.
