I’ve looked AAALL over and haven’t been able to find exactly what I’d be looking at complexity wise if I were to install one of the PS360’s into my stick. I lack the ability to solder anything (I know I should totally learn…) so I was wondering if I’d actually end up with a solderless mod, or what I’d need to do to keep most of, if not all of the functionality of the stick. If the PS360 isn’t the best solution, what other options am I looking at to dualmod this sucker? I know a couple of people have dualmodded a VX-SA so I was hoping I could get some help, thanks a bunch guys!

It can be a 100% solderless mod with the ps360+.
The PS360+ has screw terminals for all the buttons and joystick.
And there is a on board USB and RJ45 connectors.
Oh, that’s right, for the face buttons it would be as simple as cutting the wires at the harness and stripping the ends of the wires to attach to the terminals right?
Where does that leave me for the stuff attached to the daughter board? I’d imagine turbo functionality is gone, which I’ve got no problem with, but what about the xbox guide and back buttons? That’s the one thing I’ve been worrying about.

you can cut the wires for home, back, and ground. Turbo is gone. You could keep player leds, but that would require soldering.
Yeah the PS360+ does not support turbo.
Well, it seems like I know what I’m buying pretty soon then. I’ve got one final question though (Sorry for asking so many…), and this one is a lot more specific. I was looking through the install manual of the PS360+, and noticed it used a common ground for the face buttons except for the start button, and then a separate common ground for the start/back/guide buttons. I know I’m gonna need to set up common ground in my stick firstly, since Hori’s don’t have those to begin with, but that’s really simple. My question is, how would I go about setting up the other ground, for the start/select/guide buttons? Since, 2 of those buttons are on a harness and the other one is a 24mm Sanwa button. I know this would trip me up on the install, so I might as well ask now.
This is what I’m referring to (I’m sure you know this well since you’re actually THE techsupport guy for Akishop Gummo, I’m just trying to make sure that what I’m saying makes a bit more sense =P)

PS360+ is a common ground board. It provides a number of ground terminal points for convenience. You could hook all of your common lines up to the same ground point if you liked.
That chart is more of a example what you could do, not what you have to do.
The PS360+ board have number of ground points
Oh okay, that solves the problem with the start button. But what about those buttons on the daughterboard? The back and guide buttons are on there, does that harness have its own ground cable? I imagine it would but If I reference the picture below, it doesn’t show the ground cable for those two buttons…
The Photo you provides does have spots for the back and home/guide button.
What I so is trace those spots to the correct wires going to the daughter board.
As for ground?
See that connector next to that 15 printed on the PCB, that looks like it should be your ground point for the daughter board.
Yeah, I’d figured out the location of those two wires on the harness, I just wasn’t sure about the ground. That wire the comes out right next to the 15 is actually a red wire, unlike the rest which are grey, does that mark it as the ground wire?
If its a ribbon cable, the red line/wire shows where “pin 1” is located.
Its for orientating ribbon cable correctly
Oh, okay! I see. I think that’s all the information I would need to set this thing up, thank you so much for your help =)
