Get the mayflash plug, it’s the only one that’s going to work with your setup.
Try the gamebridge - you can play game systems off your PC.
'Tis what I did for the summer when Brawl came out, played/recorded matches all day. Dunnow how the video quality would look with a PS3 though.
kinda expensive im really on a budget here lol. i think ima have to just go with this
comes with headphones adopter to. so i can get sound of my headphones
I have one of these…i also have tried this using the PS3…unless you have a SICK ASS pc…don’t bother.
plus…the video quality is not in HD when streaming, but when you record a video, The Video does come out in HD. That thing is only good for recording…nothing else.
I have one of these and I couldn’t play Guitar Hero for shit on it. How did you even play with the incredible amount of lag? I just use it to record videos from TV-Out.
you can’t play ps3 on that since 4:3 lcd monitors don’t support hdcp. even if you get a transcoder it will look weird and make everything stretch to fit the 4:3 ratio. you can’t play sf4 like that.

great 1080p monitor with hdmi support. just plug ps3 to monitor with hdmi cable and enjoy 1080p sf4. its only $199 with free shipping. i would get this monitor if i didn’t have an hdtv already.
I’m using an HDMI > DVI adapter, and it work’s perfectly. My 22" inch monitor can’t quite run 1080p, but it emulates it somehow and my PS3 looks fantastic.
For sound, I’m using the white and red plugs of the RGB cables directly into my stereo. You just have to set up video and audio to run off of different setups in the System Settings menu, easy stuff.
i dont have money for a new monitor lol. and damn that sucks if i cant use my monitor to play with my ps3. ima be stuck with my sd tv
damn man that sucks…cuz that monitor is a fantastic deal!
i dont know how…but if possible you need to get that monitor ASAP! I would buy that if i didn’t already have an 22" monitor that i had to pay $299 + (A now useless) Warranty from Circuit City.
Yeah we sometimes use hdmi to dvi for an extra screen. Its works perfectly, haven’t had any problems yet.
I have an old CRT monitor (4:3 aspect ratio), so the input is the standard VGA cable. Is there any way to connect PS3 to that? So:
Can I use the HDMI to DVI converter, plus a DVI to VGA converter?
If it works, can I change the resolution to something with 4:3 aspect ratio? I remember reading somewhere that HD Remix does have a 4:3 option, will SF4 have something like that?
What about XBox? There is the VGA HD AV Cable, but about the aspect ratio: do HD Remix and SF4 have any 4:3 options?
i dont get it tho my sd tv is kind alike (4:3 aspect ratio) so if it looks well on my tv shouldnt it look well on my monitor?
it does look good if you can tolerate the vertical stretching cause by the 4:3 ratio in 720p mode. you can use your monitor’s controls to adjust the image if you have any.
well looks like ill be buying the cable bc anything is better playing sf4 then on a sd tv. thnks for the info
