PS3 release feels awful

There is a 100% guarantee that we’ll see a patch. Now if it fixes anything, is left to be determined

I’ve been having issues too. Only connecting to maybe 10 matches out of 40. The game constantly pausing in 1v1 rooms for some reason, then the SFxT stages still have the same lag from sfxt. (Might be worse since it didn’t lag this much in that game.)

Being a pc player I’ve also come to the conclusion that PSN has the worst players in the world. The connection/lag issues are bad enough but having to deal with random garbage freak after random garbage freak is just too much. I don’t know how you guys do it. Not only that but online rewards retarded play so it never ends. It’s come to the point where I just lose on purpose now just to get the matches over with cause I just don’t wanna deal with these scrubs. The pc release can’t come soon enough for me.

@scratchback‌ - My thoughts exactly.

Problem with PSN is most of the players are on wireless connection. Coupled with the stage lag and input bug…it makes for a truly craptacular experience.

Too all PSN players GTFO wireless and play wired PLEASE.

Thought I was the only one who thought the PC players are better.

PSN players have adapted to that laggy eco system.
Tap, tap, throw you can see it coming while on PC you can tech it pretty easily… not on PSN you got more chance of winning the lotto.
PS3 version also does inexplicable moves on its own.

Also the green bar dont mean anything, you can point blank block an ultra like Ryus U1 and by the times you’ve retaliated he has recovered and blocked your moves. Because they are on wireless!
This would never ever happen on the PC version with green bars.

I am sticking to hosting rooms and only playing on training stage. Still get lag spikes but its a bit more bearable.

It’s not even close bro. I’ve been on PSN since Vanilla but switched to pc late last year. Then of course went back to PSN cause of Ultra. In those few months on pc I played way more decent players than all the years I was on PSN lol. And pc has the best connections by far imo. I’m on the east coast and routinely played friends on the west coast with no issues at all. I have no desire to play anymore cause it’s just not fun dealing with these random idiots. I can’t aa or punish half the time cause of lag and it’s just a waste of time playing now. If I play 20 ranked matches on PSN I might play 1 ok player, it’s just pathetic.

Is anybody else getting occasional (waiting for other player) messages that are followed by you literally being unable to move or attack for several seconds, but during these several seconds your opponent CAN move and attack? Because I’ve never encountered that in any fighting game before, and it’s crazy frustrating.

This was the last straw for me a couple of days ago. I haven’t played online in at least a week…

That’s quite disconcerting. I’d assume that most fighters’ netcode is built around Japan’s environment, which would explain why it performs less than stellar in America.
But if it performs badly with home advantage…

Well, I wonder if SFV will be better. I still wonder if it would even be a priority for them, though.

now this game is gonna be on PS4 with that PSNOW feature in 2 months there is no need to play oN PS3 anymore right now
ye connection kinda s**** these days but whatsoever

PSNOW USF4 will have twice the lag, considering it runs in the cloud…

PSNOW on PS4 will be even worse since you are streaming the game at the same time as playing onine.

So I’m not the only one experiencing lag offline on the PS3 version?
Fighting on several stages like the India stage offline feels like a 0 bar online match :expressionless:
Not to mention actual online was an absolute nightmare.

Actually, played a few matches recently and the network seems to have fixed itself. I don’t know if it was PSN related or some other external factor, however, it is by and large back to normal.

i’m getting some yellow and green connections to US and turkey but blank and red connections to norway, spain and uk, from sweden. something’s nuts

I’ve been getting 0 bar on XBL vs certain people. Stops the game. I’m guessing on PS3 it must stop the console.

From the comments i read here, 9 $ a month for online play should be paid by capcom to the players instead

Oh boy…my worst fears realized…looks like I’ll have to wait for a patch then.

Really? Slowdown OFFLINE? Dang…would not last a minute online.

PSNow is a streaming service, so i’d expect some input lag, which is unacceptable for a fighting game. And, have you seen the rental prices for some of the games on PSNow beta? $5 for 4-hours of gameplay is a rip-off
