I used a legacy controller at release but it would occasionally just stop registering inputs for a second or 2 so I started using my hrap 4 instead. The legacy stick works fine on other games so I assumed it was an issue with the game and made the switch weeks ago.
I’m tempted to switch back if there’s 1f less delay but the buttons not registering sometimes drove me crazy - did/does anyone else have this issue? I don’t think I’ve seen it discussed at all.
it creates an infinite lag cycle projecting your inputs into the future at an ever-accelerating rate. if you could move faster than the speed of light you would eventually catch them.
Thus creating a time paradox since you will most likely be going “WHAT THE FUCK” instead of pressing the button once the attack comes out first. Which will cause all existence to implode and cause real life to become a laggy mess.
Anyone know if there’s a difference on PC using an x360 PCB vs XB1?
My TE1 has a glitchy PCB so I was going to swap it for an xb1 pcb, but I have a spare 360 pcb I could drop in if needed.
Posting my experience here too, I guess, based on a few comparisons.
Note that, below, I use “feels fine” very subjectively…
HFC4 padhack in PS4-mode = feels fine
VLX Kuro stock PCB in PS4-mode = feels fine
HFC4 padhack in PS3-mode via Legacy controller settings = feels fine
VLX Kuro stock PCB in PS3-mode via Legacy controller settings = feels really weird, as if I was playing with the stick setting on “LS”, when I clearly wasn’t…
No concrete measurements or anything, so I might just be crazy.
Yes, force it into PS3 mode and you can play the game with 1 frame less input lag.
@FreedomGundam It might be how we perceive things. For example, I previously thought legacy felt less responsive, but looking back it’s probably because I was trying to punish things too fast, meaning I was still in block stun and my input was being eaten because of that.
Thank you for a test run in my place.
I of the difference corresponds to the legacy in recognition 1F, the difference between the use of Brook is 0.7F, it is almost the same result as 2F shown of you.

So, if capcom actually does patch the input latency, I will run this test again. It will be interesting to see if they overlook the legacy mode again or if native will perform better/worse/even with it.
