This projectile deflect isn’t even necessary in a game dominated by laser, beams and bullets which it doesn’t even work on those, it’s just to burden the least character playstyle that isn’t a problem in the first place.
This radical change doesn’t even work on lasers and bullets that dominate the game with faster and hard to predict attacks. Just a bad and lazy quick counter play design to counter a specific character tech rather than dealing with it directly.
Might as well just keep it in now. Reflect until you lose.

I don’t like it. They are nerfing all characters for the sake of 2 spammers.
An easy solution to Zero and Morrigan’s Soul Body or Astral Illusion projectile spam is having them do 0 chip damage from projectiles while in that hyper. Easy.
I mean look at Strider, his Ouroboros projectiles do 0 chip damage. They should have done same for Zero and Morrigan.
The problem is, Zero and Morrigan will be shooting so many that even if reflect one, tons more will be on the way and at one point you might get hit anyway.
Ryu on the other hand shoots only one and will get deflected… its a Hadouken… not a football with a Hadouken costume on. It’s supposed to feel devastating. If someone like Rose with special ability would reflect it, i’d be fine with that.
Worst part is that some people from EVO have reported that its very easy to do and after some time, pros will likely deflect all projectiles with ease. Fchamp was able to deflect like 3 or 4 in that Jedah and Gamora match too which shows the timing isn’t as 1 frame as they said.
It should have been like parry or focus that if you fail you get punish or this should have been for the two characters only.
