You’re pretty darn anal when it comes to your projects!

However, it must give you headaches to be that much of a perfectionist!
(I know it does in my case when I get crazy about perfecting some things… I had some problems with some joystick customizations last year because of that…!
(Most of my artwork goes through AT LEAST 3-4 redesigns before I get something I’m comfortable to print off and laminate at the local Staples. It’s very unusual that I get anything exactly the way I want it the first time through…)
Well if Im gonna be serious about getting the size perfect, I really should get more than just 4 inputs, so I should make some more sets and get them out there. I should make extra of the ones that seem most popular so far so I can get extras of those made so more sets could be sent out when earlier ones return.
In order to do that, I really need to get input from those who have received theirs about the sizes they like. Please give some feedback about the sizes you like if you’ve had a chance to test them out.
I was going to make this a couple of years ago (maybe you remember that Paik ^_^) but minimum of 10K is too much I think. But if people want to pay 5 dollar/pcs then you could try it.
Also, where will you order the mold from, a mold like this can be ordered for 1500US$ (even 1200US$)? I´ll post a website where it is pretty cheap I just have to digg in my e-mails (I know I got a price example from them).
I wish I had the time/money to do this but right now I am working on two other projects.
I’d be willing to test them out I’m using some home made ones right now and I only use Round gates so I could give some feed back from someone that actually uses round gates.
I have been playing (TvC and Super) on the small gate exclusively for a little while and I think that is my choice but the medium doesn’t feel too large. I just prefer the smaller throw, or area or whatever. I am not having trouble with the diagonals like I thought I would on the small.
I have also played it stock jlf spring, jlf hd, double jlf spring it holds up to any kind of 720 motion + spring abuse I put it through. I am a fan of M and S but you can probably lose the large. I don’t have an optical to test any of them on.
Toodles, JDM, and the other party you have played on them what are your thoughts?
I haven’t done too thorough a test on them, but I’m personally leaning towards the medium and large (playing on a custom round gate for a while has me used to the larger throw). Not sure which I’ll keep, but at this point I can safely say I’m returning the small.
So how goes the testing? And to Toodles, If You need more testing let me know I am willing to be a guinea pig if that’s what it takes to get a hold of those tasteC’s
There hasn’t been any feedback other than what’s been posted here, and none of the three sets that went out have come back yet. But, no one has said anything to indicate the medium size isn’t usable, while some people hate the large or the small. So, I’ve already put in a request to have another 20 of the mediums fabbed the same way these were. When they’re ready, I’ll post up, and just sell them for enough to cover the manufacturing cost (about 10 each, and $2 for postage) so I can get feedback on the medium size before I throw down the money on a mold. So, keep tuned, there’ll be a few more betas available soonish.
Order for more mediums is in, but the fab place is getting hammer with orders; expecting it to take about two weeks to get made. I’ll post up when they’re ready.
