It was in the Super Turbo tournament room. I think only one person drinks that Lipton Tea bottle, so the range of possible people should be small.
Figures, the one time I don’t go (I try to be a nazi about the drinks downstairs rule) shit gets spilled and not cleaned up. Someone even once spilled red fucking wine on your carpet downstairs (who the hell sets wine on the carpet?) and I got that shit out quick. Yet… someone spilled some friggin’ iced tea and didn’t clean it up? Agh. I emphathize with your frustation.
Seriously… if you want some company while you drink, just be like YO ELIAS COME DRINK A BEER and I’ll be like AIGHT and I’ll chill with you upstairs and drink. I have a hard time believing there’s anyone that comes that still doesn’t know the no-drinks rule… Does Zach really have to resort to laminating his downstairs? Respect the man’s rules peeps, he doesn’t ask much.
Is May 2nd not going to be the next date? Or are you just not posting it 'til you’re 100% you can host? Just curious.
A refresh because if people are like me, they don’t go to the first page of this thread.
Rules:
- Don’t wear your shoes in the house
-
Only eat or drink in the kitchen. I’m tired of removing carpet stains. You can drink water elsewhere, but each and every time people have come over there has been spilled food or pop.
- Smoke outside only and throw away your butts into the butt bucket
- Be nice! It is my home after all.
- Don’t be random/ugly
- Throw away your trash. It makes my morning much nicer. This very much DOES mean any food bags you bring in, since those fill up the counter.
- The blue trash can under the sink (and in the garage) is for RECYCLING, not for trash
One thing that I’ve noticed is that people don’t listen at all to the first rule, one of the big things is just having their drinks out and about with them while they are around the house. I think this is mainly due to the fact that when someone does have a drink outside of the kitchen that isn’t water, no one is saying anything to them about the rules of the house, most part the regulars that just play poker and or marvel. But when no one is saying anything to them, wether it’s because we know that they aren’t going to spill or just have bottled drinks that they keep a tight cap on, other people that don’t really come over that often see it and assume that it’s alright. Toss in the people drinking beer and other things well it just increases the chances of spillage. I hope that the person that had the lipton iced tea bottle steps up and actually says something. It’s not like you’re going to get hit with the ban hammer, but if that person doesnt’ just step up and say “yeah my bad” then it looks like Zach will just stop having sessions at his house. And can we blame him honestly? There isn’t a lot of respect going on towards Zach’s house (I’ll admit that there are times that I’ve left random trash behind instead of throwing it away), and I know that Kyle and myself have at lease once went in and spruced up the kitchen’s many empty plastic cups and empty chip bags. Just break it down like this. Imagine having a bunch of people coming over to your house and leaving all their stuff behind for YOU to pick up every other week…It kinda puts a strain on you and would make you frustrated. And I for one am greatful that Zach has such a strong mental game to put up with everyones shit.
So in short keep your drinks in the kitchen unless it’s only water. I’m sure the only exception here would be at the main table for poker because, well it’s a table and yeah drinks kinda go on there. I’m pretty positive that no one is playing any game at a physically straining level to have to have something on hand to drink during a match.

Considering im the Super Turbo Tourney Organizer at Zach’s, i’ll take full responsibility for this, that is my primary area of operation every other Friday since this season began and therefore It was my responsibility to see this didnt happen in the Super Turbo Tourney room.

I’m not planning on canceling everything regardless. I trust Nate. Right now everybody in the Super Turbo rooms will be on a zero tolerance policy, though. If I go down there and see anything but water, you will be asked to leave.
This especially includes Lipton Tea drinks.
Frank and Kyle (and others) are friends and act like it. I wouldn’t ban the people that I know and have a good relationship with.

I’m of the opinion that the “Don’t be ugly/random” rule is broken the most, and I still think it’s the best rule pertaining to Zach’s house.
You should post a big sign on the wall facing the bottom of the stairs.
Kyle and I could always start enforcing the rule…anytime we see a non-water drink outside of the kitchen we can just start doing random outbursts about how you need to keep the drinks in the kitchen. Kinda like the Mary Murphy wake up call:

if we go that route you will have no drinks outside of the kitchen after one night.

I don’t want you guys having to worry about keeping stuff locked down. Be there to chill and have fun. If people can’t handle being respectful, they don’t fit in with the kind of people I like to hang out with.
I wasn’t there last friday, but I can say that I have been guilty of breaking the drink rule a few times.
It is never intentional and I make sure to go back upstairs when I remember, but from now on I will be sure to observe it 100% and make sure others do the same.
If we make sure everyone knows that it is not cool in anyway, I think everyone will follow suit real quick.
I left a Lipton tea downstairs and I don’t know what happened to it after I left it near my bag so I’m sorry about my negligence Zach it will not happen again, anyways thanks for hosting in the midst of that shitty ass weather and I look forward to going next time.
As a frequent violator of the drink and food rule, even though to date I have not actually spilled anything in your house, I will henceforth abide by the house rule. Can’t make any promises on the random/ugly rule, though.
…
aww cmon, i haven’t even started yet, this is so unfair…

For the record, I bring water bottles down stairs regularly, and I also brought a muffin, but left it in the bag until much later on in the night.
Oh, and for anyone interested, I got in my second accident going back home from the sakura festival after Zach’s. I think I just might have to stop coming to your house, Zach. That place is bad juju for me and my car>marvel.

That’s crazy. You should get one of those Sumo Fat Suits for your car at this point.

There wasn’t major damage or anything (bumper and left headlight assembly were destroyed, but I picked up those and replaced them at a junkyard for $80 total), so I fixed the car myself within two days.
And on the plus side, I took the girl I rear-ended out to lunch, and we’re going out again tomorrow. I have no idea how I managed to pull that off…
