Pre-Owned Games To No Longer Be Allowed Online?

If you get OEM replacement parts, they do. I forgot, analogies only work if you can draw limitless parallels.

Hyundai:GMC::Activision:THQ.

No wait, Hyundai is Korean.

too much shit to quote but:

to solve this problem, why not just charge stores a fee to resell used games? Or look at the car industry. Does Ford get money every time somebody buys and sells a used F150? No. That’s what your initial selling fee should take into account.

Or just sell your fucking games for less money. The video game industry makes HUGE amounts of money of big games. Many people buy used games because they just can’t justify/afford to pay the full price for a game (I try to buy new as often as I can, but for fucks sakes, some games are just NOT WORTH 60 BUCKS!!!). You can NOT tell me that every single game should be valued at pretty much full price (barring a few titles that KNOW they’re shitty, so sell for less).

Not to mention you can’t return a used game, so if a game isn’t your thing, it becomes a lot harder to return it.

There are better ways to deal with used games, than simply saying “no you can’t play if its used”

Well said. And I’d like to see more car analogies as the thread continues. As I recall, someone was really annoyed by those last time around…

I buy new most of the time when the game is worth it. But honestly a lot of these games now and days aren’t worth the full price. Me and my friends never sell our games anymore because it’s not worth the trade in value. If developers make good games that have great replay value then people usually won’t sell them. Uncharted 2, Bayonetta, Demons Souls are games I have that come to mind. IMO if they stop making shit games then people will buy them and keep them.

i’m sorry to say it, but its the truth though. EVERY car company is able to properly handle that shit. Video game companies have DLC, expansion packs, and fucking 5 dollar t-shirts for your avatar that have the companies logo. Do NOT bitch about pre-owned games. Either make your games more affordable to the general public, or find a way to make your money else where.

The idea that ‘fuck it, you don’t get to play’ is a fucking STUPID mother fucking idea that literally makes me wanna ragequit life. Seriously, I ain’t buying fuck all from THQ ever again.

Cuz I sure as fuck ain’t paying 60 bucks for a game that I can not trade in because nobody but me can play it.

jesus christ why not the companies have their own trade in sites or something.
put it in your mail box with an envelope that the company sends and the other people can buy your old copy and vice verca.

MANY of my games are used. Why buy at $60 when you can wait 3 months to buy it at $40? or wait a year to buy it for $20? Since 07 we’ve been having a nonstop assload of amazing must have godtier games and anyone who buys all or most of them at launch is throwing money at the window IMO.

Unless you’re a baller who can afford to spend hundreds on games ever few months I don’t see how anyone could support any practice that fucks up the used game market.

i dont like it. but really i dont mind. Very rarely will a game have a sucky offline mode and still be worth buying. UNless its like Halo, but thtats made for crazy hardcore fans that will most likley camp out and buy it new on release date.
