Money matches in Alpha 2 and ST all day. GOGOGO.

Best news I’ve ever had at 2:30am!

I’d also like to thank Mr. Blasty for his initial volunteering to run the stream.

Can’t wait to meet all you guys, and thanks for making the trip out to PU2011. I can rest easy knowing the stream will be godlike!

Not that it matters, but i’m all for duplicates.

Gonna be pre-registering as soon as I can get the money in my paypal.

Voting against duplicates in Marvel teams.

I’m looking into hotel reservations right now. It was nice to meet you in Columbus last year Osirun and I’m looking forward to your event.

reading the OP, quick question. How is KoFXIII gonna run? is that just assuming it’ll be out on PS3 by that time or is there gonna be a cabinet?

We are assuming it would be released on console. We don’t have a KOFXIII cabinet, unfortunately. As of now I’m considering removing it since we’re only a month and a half from the event, and no announcement about KOFXIII on console has happened.

The issue of stage and character color schemes is something that’s been brought up on occasion in the MvC3 subforum a few times now, and I’m curious to see what tournament organizers and participants think of it. From what I understand, if two participants have any disagreements about stage selection in their match in any game, then you have to pick random. Are there any rules about visibility or performance concerns though, and if not, do you think it would be reasonable to implement some? Some stages aren’t kind of the colorblind (I hear SF4 volcano is a particularly bad offender), and black character schemes on MvC3 Shield Helicarrier can be hell even for people with normal vision. At Final Round, I saw a number of people picking either Daily Bugle or Asgard specifically to avoid visibility problems like these.

Just throwing that out there and wanting to know what you guys think.

@Sixtyfortyfive: Can’t wait to see you at the event! As for restrictions on MvC3 stage selection, I agree that if one player has a concern they need to speak up and come to an agreement with their opponent. However, if the two can’t agree, I think that the Daily Bugle should then be used.

The rules would be:

*Players must agree on what stage to use, due to some visibility concerns
*If players cannot agree on the stage, Daily Bugle is then used

I think it’s a reasonable concern, but, as Sixtyfortyfive asks, what does everyone else think?

I agree about Daily Bugle. That stage is bright and doesnt have a lot going on.

Nathan! Get at me on aim, I want to talk scheduling with you.

Sent you a pm, Keits.

Shield carrior should just be banned on PS3 IMO.

I like me over you, FT7 for $100. Same with Marvel

Oh shiiiiiz… if this goes down y’all taking sidebets?

I’ll back ghaleon on that bet.

awwww :frowning: i was looking forward into winning my 1st KoFXIII tournament, damnit SNKP get your shit together!

hmmm if you’re hype about it, guess its safe to assume its gonna be some random Naruto game? or maybe MIRA? lol

We’re assuming that many people are going to be attending PU2011. Maybe even upwards of 250 over the weekend, maybe more.

That said, we want brackets to run smooth as silk for all the players. Space is a hot commodity at Arcade Legacy when we’re talking 250-300 players, and we want to use our space to the utmost effectiveness. These are the goals we have in mind for everyone in attendance, and to make these goals a reality I’m thinking about making pre-registration mandatory (still $20 venue). If you don’t pre-register, you don’t get in to the event.

With this, brackets could be posted before the event and seeding could be done with care.

Would anyone have any objections to this, and if so, what would they be?

EDIT: Nvm. Pre-reg is now mandatory.

This is a good idea…Save time and This was done at Seasons Beatings that way people know what pool they are in so they can arrive when they need…im all for it

Can’t wait to be in Ohio!

Get hype people!
