Any tips for Nova/Task/Akuma?
So I recently got into this game and fighting games in general.
The team im playing with atm is Nova/Taskmaster/Vergil, I originally tried doom over taskmaster but he feels way too awkward for me right now.
Any feedback/tips for optimizing this team would be appreciated
Akuma Tatsu assist is pretty universally useful. A simple mix up on the incoming is jump, call Akuma, air dash over them with Nova. It’s basically similar to Wolverine/Vergil incoming mixup, where it’s hard to tell which side the opponent will have to block.
This team was talked about earlier in this thread. It’s versatile that it can work in almost any order, with Taskmaster on point being the weakest (since you want him as an assist). Vergil on point gives unblockables with Nova Centurion Rush assist. Nova on point gives easy damage with DHCs.
I think Tatsu is especially good for Task since it gives him free, safe Charging Stars and free lockdown + mixups. It’s close to being a BFF assist for him. Not sure about Nova/Tatsu though, never seen it played, but it’s probably just as good + high/low mixups. I approve.

I have a friend(Dekillsage) who runs Nova/She-Hulk/Akuma and he has some dirty shit. He was on some streams back in December.

Would Nova/Taskmaster/Wesker be viable as a team? I like the idea of using Wesker’s SE as an alternate OTG for Nova instead of his own.
I would say yes just because Nova Task is one of the best shells in my opinion. It’s not “optimal” but it’s definitely doable just because it’s Dark Wesker in the back and just like you said, you get a new OTG
I’m not feeling Nova/Wesker in any order. Nova doesn’t need the OTG, and the unblockable is going to be hard to set up without some shield antics to lock down. You’re better off with a lockdown assist in the back.
You can raw tag Wesker for unscaled anywhere after airthrows, but like others have said. Wesker anchor is overrated and he won’t be providing much to Nova.
A better order for the team would be Wesker/Taskmaster/Nova IMO.

I WAS going to say bad DHC but Nova can now link two supers on his own so you dont even really need a DHC anymore. I mean like I said before…the team isn’t the most ideal Nova team but if you really want them together, there isn’t anything severely wrong that will make it unplayable.
Wesker/Nova/Taskmaster is the best order.
Samurai Edge is the worst assist on the team and doesn’t help much in neutral so ideally Wesker should be played first. Both Nova’s and Taskmaster’s assist can help Wesker in neutral.
The THC for Wesker and Nova is also very strong. You can break 1 mil with Wesker if you do a combo that does the THC at the center of the screen.
Having Nova second means that you get to utilize Nova’s TAC combos. This is great because with Wesker you will be getting a lot of command grabs and air throws and you can convert them to ToD combos with Nova’s TACs.
If Wesker dies, you are left with Nova+Taskmaster. Which is a pretty good shell with decent damaging combos.
If you DHC out Wesker and get the order Nova/Wesker/Taskmaster. You can still have a powerful DHC by positioning the guy in the center and DHCing into Wesker. At the end of the combo, just do Samurai Edge -> Centurion Rush M -> Nova Strike M -> Super when the guy crosses over you. Both super works but Grav Blaster does more damage. This should get you 800-900k. Which is enough to ToD a lot of the cast.
The team is pretty decent.
Only flaw is that you have to run Taskmaster anchor.
My only interjection. Nova Task damage being “decent” the definition of understatement lol.
Taskmaster’s kind of a weiner of an anchor but Nova/Task is a good enough shell that it shouldn’t matter. I like having Ammy as my anchor but I like having Doom/Ammy as my shell better.

Does any have videos of players that have this team? or similiar? and ofc im amateur player who is just learning stuff 
So I’ve been playing wolverine/doom/sentinel for a while but I recently began contemplating dropping logan and one of the point characters that crossed my mind was richard rider. How do you guys feel about nova/doom/sentinel? It seems like an obviously good team nova/doom, nova/sentinel, sentinel/doom and doom/sentinel are all tried and true shells, but in comparison to wolverine how do you guys feel? Do you think nova is a better overall point? I found wolverine far too simplistic for me, ill probably still have him on the side for counter picks but id rather have a more complex character on point and nova seemed kinda interesting so I figure id give him a shot.
How about wesker/nova/hawkeye? I read the above and I see you guys aren’t too fond of the mix =\

Well I don’t know much about nova, but hawkeye doesn’t seem to bad of an assist for him, combo used to run that and now yipes runs it every now and again. Wesker/hawkeye is pretty slick too, so while it might not be optimal its should be useable.
