I like most of them tbh. The only two i do NOT want at all are Alex because he’s boring shit imo, and rock, because volnutt is a shitty version. X is welcome though. The rest (Batsu, Saki, Kaijin No Soki and Roll) i’m ok with. Especially Batsu, he’s my most desired character at the moment.

I could see them adding Roll and maybe by a long shot Batsu, but not the rest, they are way too obscure/local in my opinion.

Actually, I wouldn’t mind Soki either if they wanted to add a character from Onimusha, although I kinda hope they don’t, but I’d hate if they brought Roll over. I’d much rather take Volnutt than her.

Saki is more likely than you think actually, she was a striker on MvC1 so has a history with the series, and she’s quite heavily requested. It would be nice to at least be able to have a team of MvC1 strikers (Arthur, Saki and Thor). But if they wanted to put in another Striker, I’d have to go with my favorite capcom character: Lou from Three Wonders, he would be the most epic character on this game ever.

My only gripe with having Soki on is that he’s another sword weilding character, but like you I want to see more characters from series that don’t have representation yet, such as Powerstone (I really want Rouge) and especially Three Wonders. I also hated Roll’s TvC costume.

It didn’t include Jill and Shuma. Why would Niitsuma include characters which arn’t technically on the actual game anyway?

Because UMvC3 roster has a total roster of 50, when it only has twelve newcomers. That would add up to 48. Add Shuma and Jill, 50.

Here’s what I got based off of rumors…

Very sure:
Megaman X- Lupinko, Niitsuma comments/58 character roster rumor.
Gene-Niitsuma comments/58 character roster rumor.
Female character (not sure whether marvel or capcom)- Lupinko. (Elektra, Rogue, or maybe Miss Marvel all make sense here, based off of hearsay)
Dock Ock- unused disk data/ activision being bastards about Spiderman game copyrights.

Uhhhh IDK:

Daredevil- Couple stages no character, and now a full model in plain sight. Could pull a Tronne.
Gambit- Alluded to by Sven if at least for a stage, but could it be more?
Roll- Japanese interview rumor
Felyne- Japanese interview rumor
Lord Raptor- Only person in Dormammu’s ending who isn’t in the game. Would balance the darkstalkers to the street fighters, and add that all important male ds character. Adds a Capcom villain as well. Could be a male darkstalker in general.
Wildcard character- There are a couple franachises that Niitsuma has said he likes that don’t have reps. Don’t doubt this factor. We got Hsien Ko, and Nemmy after all.

Not all the characters mentioned in the win quotes on MvC3 are now in UMVC3: Hawkeye, Iron Fist, Pheonix Wright were ALL mentioned. Now X and Fantastic Four are in the new one… Invisible Woman perhaps?
